Secrets & Lies (𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑒𝑑)

-Chapter 5-

[Main Gym, outside]

[Third Person]

"Hinata?"

Once Hinata heard the voice, his head shot up, his cheeks we're still covered in his tears, dry and new, eyes red and puffy... all together, he didn't look the best.

But there stood Yamaguchi, looking down on the orangette with a concerned face.

He's never seen Hinata cry before- well, except for the volleyball matches but they we're either happy tears... not sad tears like now. Yamaguchi approached Hinata as if he was a baby bird, slowly and calmly.

"Hinata.. what's wrong?" Yamaguchi said, finally managing to sit down next to Hinata, "Nothing.. it's not a big deal." Hinata huffed while sniffing, "Hinata, please tell me." Yamaguchi said, Hinata was still in his ball like position, he then hid his face in his knees again.

"It's personal... " which wasn't a lie, he would easily tell Yamaguchi his problems but the only big problem in the way was that his father had threats placed on the boy, they weren't small and simple- they we're deadly and unescapable.

[Omg, I just fangirled over that line I wrote *cOugH* back to the story]

"Oh... well, if you by any chance want to get anything out, I'm here!" Yamaguchi said with a small smile, in return, Hinata gave his smile, it was small and sad but it was better then nothing plus Yamaguchi's smile grew bigger. "I.. I can tell you." Hinata said, he turned his face now looking straight ahead.

"Ah, you don't have to tell me if you don't want too!" Yamaguchi panicked, "Mmh, maybe not now then." Hinata added, "But when I'm ready, I'll say." Hinata said giving a confident smile to Yamaguchi, "When your ready." Yamaguchi smiled back.

The two boys sat there in a comfortable silence but it left Yamaguchi thinking-

[Yamaguchi's POV]

What is wrong with Hinata? He's always so happy and energetic... was- was it all fake? No.. It couldn't be fake.. actually, now that I think about it, his reflexes are more sharp and he seems to panic whenever someone touches him... maybe, just maybe he's been lying... I hope not-

Further in the distance, the was a shuffling sound, like someone was walking on the concrete coming our way-

"Oi shrimp! What's taking you so long!?" Tsukishima said once he saw Hinata, he turned and looked at me, "Oh, hi Yamaguchi." He huffed, "Hi Tsukki!" I say back with a smile.

Me, Hinata and Tsukki we're walking back to gym three, although, once we got there-

[Third Person]

"Hinata! Where have you been!?" Bokuto exclaimed holding onto Hinata's shoulders, "S-sorry! I was taking to someone over the phone!" He panicked, "But you lied! You said that you'd be back in a minute!" The owl whined, "Bokuto-san, let go of Hinata's shoulders, he was on the phone so let him be." Akaashi said with his monotone voice, "Ah, sorry Hinata.." Bokuto said letting go of the orangettes shoulders now patting the small boys head. Such a mood swing.

Yamaguchi was keeping a close eye on Hinata, it may have made him look weird but hey- he was looking out for a friend... plus, he wanted to know more, he didn't want to put the orangette under pressure so he couldn't really ask.

"Yamaguchi." Tsukishima said, now getting Yamaguchi's attention, "Yeah, Tsukki?" He said, "What happened?" Tsukishima asked, "Hmm? Oh nothing! We we're just talking." Yamaguchi smiled, he hoped that his smile would cover up his panicked expression but nope-

Anyways, I apologise for the short chapter, I was starting to get a writers block (again) so I stoped here, chapter 6 will be a little longer to make up for this though ÛwÛ
