-Chapter 18-

[In The Toilets]

[Sugawara's POV]

As I kept my grip on Hinata's arm, he turned his head to look at me and had a panicked expression, I could fell him trying to yank his arm away but I just stood there, holding onto him.

"S-sugawara-san! Please let go!" He said with a begging tone, I stayed quiet for a bit as he squirmed in my grip, "Hinata... What's going on?" I asked, he stopped moving completely- I don't even think he was breathing, Hinata then looked up at me with wide eyes.

Dull, empty, yet full of fear and panic.

I've never seen him like this before, he looked so scared...

Guilt started to weigh me down as I let go of Hinata's arm to which he then took many steps back until he was up against the wall.

[Third Person]

At this point, Hinata could barely breathe, he was backed up against the wall keeping a fair distance from Sugawara. His breaths were cut short and his eyes were starting to tear up, this was the moment that Sugawara knew Hinata was having a panic attack.

"Hey Hinata, I- I need you to listen to me." Sugawara said with a calming voice, but as he was trying to approach Hinata, the ginger kept flinching away, "Hinata, just breath, in and out." Sugawara said now just standing in front of the other.

Everything Sugawara tried was pointless, he tried to get Hinata to calm down in many ways but nothing seemed to work and by now, Hinata was in a ball like position on the floor. Sugawara had a ball of guilt buildup inside as he was the one who triggered Hinata's panic attack.

By now- lunch would be over as well which meant they would be bombarded with questions as soon as someone saw them.

With nothing else to do, Sugawara pulled Hinata into his lap gently and started rubbing circles gently into his back while singing a song he used to listen to with a soft voice.

Hello My Old Heart by Oh The Hello's

Only seconds later, Hinata started to calm down which made Sugawara let out a sigh of relief before continuing the song. As Sugawara was hugging Hinata singing and of course Hinata almost being asleep due to Sugawara's soothing voice, someone just had to walk in on the two.

"Uh, Sugawara-san?" Sugawara looked at and saw the person now standing at the door, "Tsukishima!" Hinata flinched in the third years arms, "Have you been here the whole time?" Tsukishima said as he looked at his senpai sitting on the floor with Hinata in his arms, "U-uh, yeah..." Sugawara said smiling sheepishly.

After everything was sorted with the two boys now standing on their feet, the awkward tension started to fill the bathroom between the three.

"So what happened for you two to end up on the floor?" Tsukishima asked, Hinata stood there feeling awkward and somewhat guilty, Sugawara was feeling nothing but awkwardness and guilt, "Hey! Why don't we get a move on now?" Sugawara said, "I'm sure everyone is wondering where we're all are by now~" He said as he pushed his kouhai's out the bathroom.

As soon as the trio stepped out of the toilets, Bokuto and Kuroo ran up to them, "Hey hey hey!" Bokuto yelled with Kuroo next to him, "Where have you been Chibi-chan? You missed out on lunch." Kuroo said as he smacked Bokuto's back harshly, "Somewhere." Hinata said as he rubbed his neck- this wasn't the 'he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck out of embarrassment' type but no one seemed to notice.

[Later That Afternoon]

Practice matches we're being played but by now, the teams were having a break.

"Onii-chan?" Natsu said, "Yeah Natsu?" Hinata looked down at his sister with a closed smile, "Your arm is bleeding.." Natsu said as she pointed to her brothers arm, "Ah, it's fine!" Hinata said as he spotted the now open scar, spilling a crimson red goo.

As the two siblings bickered back and fourth, attention was gained from a few players-

"Ya know, now that I pay more attention to it, Karasuno's No.10 has been acting strange lately, don't you think?" Hanamaki said as he drank water from his water bottle, "I've noticed some things about him, like how he would be yapping away with a teammate then suddenly go all quiet or still... like he's off in his own world?" Iwaizumi replied, "I personally don't know, ask Oikawa or someone else he would usually hangout with." He added.

"But he literally hangs out with everyone~" Hanamaki complaining.
