I got home and went straight to bed last night. I kept checking my phone for news updates of a burnt down complex when I woke up to pee. Unfortunately there weren't any.

I took my phone again and checked. There was nothing. I rolled out of bed and went to wash my face and brushed my teeth.

I took my phone afterwards and went down to make breakfast. The intercom rang, I answered. It was Pat. I let him and proceeded going downstairs.

I found the fucking devil and Njabulo eating in my kitchen like he is not supposed to be having breakfast with Lucifer beyond the clouds. Njabulo tried to say something I dismissed him with my hand and went to take out milk from the fridge.

Pat: We need to start working right a...
He paused and stared at Ndaba who was staring right back at him with disgust.
Pat: Or not. Hi Ndaba. Hi Njabulo.
Njabulo: Yah tight pants.
Ndaba: I can't believe this. Let's go to my office.

They took their cups of coffee and left. I balanced both my knuckles on the counter.
Pat: You kissed and made up?
Me: What? Fuck no. I just found him here. Njabulo must've followed me.
I rubbed my nose. I walked up and down.
Pat: He really piss you off, didn't he? That's unlike you.
Me: Any woman who worked so hard to bring a man back to his feet and lost herself in the process would do it.
Pat: Calm down. Drink some water and calm down.

I drank from the tap and took a seat. I let the tears flow down.
Pat: I know you're hurting but-
Me: I'm not hurting now, I'm angry!

I took a deep breath and went upstairs...

NDABA

I put down the glass. I was still shaking. I couldn't even sleep last night. I've always seen myself as strong, I thought I didn't fear death but Bianca proved me wrong. I've had a gun pointed at my head but I never got shaken but when Bianca did, I almost peed myself.

Njabulo finally got off the phone.
Njabulo: They found the car but she wasn't there.
Lebo ran away. She left me a note that I should not look for her. She must be kidding if she thinks she can flee away with my son. I ended things with her last night before we slept at the hotel.
Me: Mango wants his money and this woman thinks I have time to be chasing her all around the country.
Njabulo: We have about 3 weeks left to finalize everything.
Me: What's there to finalize?
Njabulo: Guns.
Me: The guns we have are enough and if we do everything as planned. We will not need to use guns.
Njabulo: You may never know what would come.
Me: I want a clean job this time. I need the money to pay these men.  Mango is breathing down my neck.
Njabulo: What are you gonna do with B?
Me: What do you mean?
Njabulo: She tried to kill you.
Me: She was angry.
I took a seat and swung my chair around.
Njabulo: She can still kill you. Send her away.
Me: Thank you for saving me Njabs. I'm not getting rid of my wife. I need to lie down.

I got up and motioned to the door.
Njabulo: You better lock that door.

I raised my middle finger. He laughed. I got in the guestroom and locked the door. You can't take chances with B.

BIANCA

It hurt so much that I had to leave a house that had became my home and my comfort.

After packing most of my belongings I looked for flats to let and I found one, I paid deposit and told them I wanna move in as soon as this evening. They said they'll call me. I locked my door and took a nap afterwards. Not that he wouldn't get in if he wanted to kill me but I just had to be on the safe  side.

I woke up to my phone ringing. I took it and answered. I was still pretty much in my sleep but his deep voice telling me to open the door sobered me up instantly.
Me: No.
Ndaba: We need to talk.
Me: I don't wanna talk.
Ndaba: Just let me in.
Me: No.
Ndaba: Bianca.
Me: Fuck off.
