Adelaide finally texted me. It was lunch time. I went to take my lunch box from my bag and went to sit at the back. Nobody ever goes there, its peaceful. I wiped off the dust and sat down. I viewed the text from Adelaide.

'Brighton Stewart is who is in charge. Security and everything else is controlled by him.'

Good girl. I called her.
Ade: This sun is frying me.
Me: Where are you?
Ade: golf course. Acting like a waiter. He's here playing golf with his rich friends.
Me: What? Wow.
Ade: I've watched a few criminal series.
Me: Are you ib disguise?
Ade: Yes. Blue lanses and brunette hair. Oh wait, there's a girl in skimpy clothes hugging him.
She gasped.
Ade: He's squeezing her butt. Girl we are rich.
I laughed.
Me: You're smart.
Ade: Its 15 million. Who wouldn't be smart. I will be following him for the rest of the day.
Me: Don't forget to take pictures of him doing anything offish.
Ade: The butt squeezing in now on my camera.
Me: Is he married?
Ade: yes. You know how nasty these married folks are.
Me: Let me eat. Please keep me updated.
Ade: This is so much fun.

She giggled and hung up.

I ate while browsing through internet.

...
I heard knock right after I settled down on tbe couch with my bowl of rice and chicken gizards.

I was only wearing my night dress, I went to fetch a robe and came back to open. The last person I expected to see smiled at me when I opened. I was expecting Adelaide since I couldn't rich her on the phone anymore.
Me: Hi.
Buhle: Hey. Can I come in?
Me: uh...yeah sure.

I made space for her to come in and closed the door.
Me: I didn't know you knew where I live.
Buhle: I didn't. Naomi told me.
She was looking around.
Me: Oh. Coffee?
Buhle: Don't you have wine?
Me: No. I do not drink anymore.
Buhle: You quit alcohol?
Me: Not quit quit. Just taking a break.
Buhle: Coffee will do then.
Me: I also have fish and rice.
Buhle: My favorite.

She looked too nice for normalcy. I dished up for her while water for coffee boiled.
Buhle: So anyone special in your life?
She knows.
Me: I wouldn't say yes or no. Its complicated.
Buhle: Could it get as complicated as mine
Me: No, its different. You're married we're not.
Buhle: Is he negligent too?
Me: No. Just doesn't have a way forward.
Buhle: Mmmh.

My door swung open.
Sphiwe: Bianca!

I heard a gun cock.
Sphiwe: Buhle put it down.
She had it on my head...

NDABA

The warden brought me my phone from the charger. I thanked him and switched it on. Bianca hasn't contacted me. Mango won't stop bugging me. My lawyer needs payment. Lebo needs child support money so are my other kids. Nothing seems to be going right.

'Sphiwe is fucking Bianca and has been for the past 10 months. Ndaba, they sold you out so they can live happily ever after'

I kept reading it over and over again. I didn't want to believe it but what explained Sphiwe suddenly having a phone call to make that night and remained behind at the petrol station and police came for us at the spot we were gonna take the money car?

What animals are called friends?

-
BIANCA

He kept on begging her to put the gun down. She was crying swearing at him.
Buhle: I thought you were my friend Bianca. You saw a fool in me that day you saw me at the restaurant. What did I do to you to hurt me this much!
Me: I didn't hurt you. He did.
Buhle: Shut up! You were never my friend
Me: We were never friends.
Buhle: You fucking bitch.
Me: that's me babe. That's me. Now are you gonna shoot me or not?
Buhle: Shut up!
Me: Shoot me.
Sphiwe: Can you stop this foolishness.
Buhle: I'm gonna kill you both.
Sphiwe: Then do it.

She shoved me towards Sphiwe.
Buhle: Say the last words to each other. Tell each other how much you enjoyed making me a fool. In a count of of 5 I'll be firing.
Me: You better not miss cause if you do, I will not return the fa-

She fired. I felt warm liquid splash on the right side of my face. The falling of the gun deafened my ears, followed by a loud cry. I looked down and I saw Sphiwe on the floor coughing blood.

My anxiety couldn't take it anymore. I went flying on the floor, I hit the back of my head on the vase. Lights out...
