**A Gamble of Paintings and Poison Draft One: An Introduction**

Ah, here we are. My baby. I know they say parents shouldn't have favorite children, but I do, and this is it. 

This was technically the third wattpad draft of gg, but it was only the second that I wrote all the way from beginning to end. And what a slog it was. I started this draft in March of 2017 after a whole year-long break from writing because college was giving me a hard time. I spent that year thinking about the previous draft of gg and how I could change and improve it, and then this draft was born. Thanks to a lot of changes in my life and some fluctuating mental health resulting in numerous hiatuses, this draft took me 3 years to write. I finally finished it March of 2020, and I was so proud, and so sure that this would be the Very Last Draft! 

It had gone through name changes, plot changes, character changes. You name it, something about it changed. 

But then I got accepted into the Wattys Bootcamp Mentorship program and wooops, looks like its not done changing! 

So I'll be uploading the first AGOPAP draft here for rereading purposes because this is my baby and I love it SO MUCH. And while the changes to the new draft won't be nearly as significant as the jump from GG to AGOPAP was, they're still enough that I want to have the old draft available for comparison.
