chapter 7

*SKIP TO 7PM BECAUSE IM LAZY*

i heard a honk outside of my house, daniel was already here. i quickly grabbed my bag and rushed out and got in the car.

d: "hey, woah"
y/n: "what?"
d: "pretty comfy huh"
y/n: "i decided to dress however i want because i'm not so desperate to impress you."
d: "you have a lot of confidence."
y/n: "i really don't, especially after years of you bullying me."
d: "i'm sorry, but i'm changing."
y/n: "i can tell, i've seen improvement. anyway where are we going?"
d: "it's a surprise."
y/n: "come on tell me."
d: "it'll ruin the surprise. buckle up, time for an adventure."

*SKIP TO HALF AN HOUR LATER*

d: "wake up dummy."

holy shit did i fall asleep?

d: "we reached."

i realised i fell asleep on daniel's shoulder.

y/n: "oh i'm sorry."

daniel chuckled and gave me a little smile before getting out of the car. i felt butterflies in my stomach, he's adorable.

y/n: "seriously where are we going?"
d: "you'll see."

i got my bag and got out of the car. he gestured for me to follow him. i walked behind him and examined our surroundings. we were at the bottom of a hill and there was a steep path in order to get up. i was getting so distracted i didn't see the rock ahead of me, i tripped. i prepared myself for the fall but thankfully, daniel caught me.

d: "hey be careful, it's quite steep."
y/n: "oh, thanks."

i got up and looked away, i was so embarrassed.

d: "come on."

he grabbed my hand and we slowly walked up together. the butterflies in my stomach was going crazy. i've never held anyone's hand before. after a few minutes of walking, we reached to the top of the hill and what i saw before me, honestly surprised me.

d: "so, what do you think?"
y/n: "i- i love it"

i looked at the mini picnic set infront of me. the red and white blanket was not too big and not too small. there were a few candles lit up and some of my favourite snacks.

d: "i got your favourite snacks."
y/n: "how did you know i like these?"
d: "i have my sources. come on, let's chill."

he proceeded to lie on the mat getting all comfy. i was feeling pretty awkward.

d: "come on, don't be shy." (pUt sOme MoRe ok sry)

honestly why was i so nervous? i'm not afraid of this bitch. i got comfy beside him and got a bag of chips.

y/n: "i am not shy."
d: "dang you really are shameless."
y/n: "is that a bad thing?"
d: "mhm"

we sat in silence for a while, i wasn't feeling awkward, i don't know why but i am able to be comfortable around him without feeling insecure. a few minutes later, i got a text.

y/n: "selena."
d: "oh the girl jonah's obsessed with?"
y/n: "yep."
d: "what did she say?"
y/n: "she asked to hang."
d: "and?"
y/n: "why so nosy?"
d: "i'm just curious.
d: "woah woah woah,"
y/n: "what?"
d: "you're going to finish all the snacks! give me some!"
y/n: "why should i?"
d: "because i bought them?"
y/n: "so?"
d: "hey i'm hungry too!"

he tried to grab the snacks from me but i dodged. i laughed at how ridiculous he looked trying.

*DANIELS POV*

i watched her laugh, i've never seen her smile this bright before. maybe because of the years of torture i put her through, i just hope she's happy now.

*END OF D'S POV*

we sat there in silence for awhile again, but then daniel spoke up,

d: "ok anyway, i brought you here for a reason."
y/n: "and what's the reason?"
d: "i need to ask you something."
y/n: "what is it?"
d: "i uh,"
