group of galaxies - "a small collection of galaxies bound together by gravity."
We pulled up at a red light and watched as people rushed into the crosswalk. Jameson tapped along to a pop song playing on the radio while the other hand held my thigh tenderly. It just so happened to be a day when I decided to wear a uniform skirt instead of plain pants. Out of all the decisions I've had to make it my life, letting this extremely hot guy grip my leg was the absolute best one.
Gosh! I sound like such a teenage girl...
The light turned green and Jameson accelerated down the street. We drove through downtown, passing the skyscrapers, office buildings, and fancy stores. For Charles to be worth mega millions it made me think just how much of this city he owned. I made a mental note to ask him about that later on today. Well, that's if I'm not grounded for skipping school with Jameson...again.
"Is there a reason why you chose to have our first day in the middle of a school day?" I asked him, turning my head to catch his smile break out across those plump lips. He looked at me for a quick second.
"Have you not noticed that people are kinda obsessed with us?" he asked, rolling his eyes playfully as if I missed the obvious.
Homecoming was two weeks ago, making Jameson and I's first kiss one week ago on the bridge. Since then we've had another week to let our newfound relationship sink in. Since Jameson dragged me out of the cafeteria the first time, Chellgren students have been eyeing us. It was like they knew what we would end up becoming all along.
"Why does that matter?"
He sighed, gripping tighter at my thigh. If he squeezed any harder then my body would cease to function because my soul would've combusted.
"I don't want to take you to a restaurant, some movie, or bowling when all everyone will do is stare. At least not on our first date." We rolled up to another red light and he took the chance to look at me with those hypnotizing eyes. "There's a lot of bad memories between us. I don't want this date to be one of them."
I pouted my lip and tugged at a blonde curl that escaped the messy bun atop his head. He leaned forward, head falling into my hand, and kissed my palm. Okay, now I really was going to blow to pieces! My breath hitched when he pecked my hand again. The light changed and I pulled away from him with a groan.
"Basically what you're saying is that you want me all to yourself with no distractions?" I said, my lips quivering into a smile.
"There will be one distraction there."
I arched an eyebrow. "Do tell."
"You, Aubrey, are the ultimate distraction."

We'd been driving for over an hour. I didn't think that our first date would be out of the city limits. When I pestered Jameson for clues he threatened to dump me on the side of the road and drive off without me. That earned him a slap on the arm. Still, I shut my mouth about the subject of our date and we both fell into a comfortable silence soon after.
After another thirty minutes, he pulled into an empty parking lot of what looked to be an abandoned building that was in the middle of nowhere. Literally. We drove up a mountain and there this place was. This could only mean one thing...
