Maldives
19th May 2018“Ahaan, please” Samara begged her little brother but his expression remained sceptical. And why wouldn’t it? What she was asking for was probably the riskiest favour ever.
“Look, I get it. I know you really want to go but do you realise how dangerous this is? If mom and dad get even the tiniest hint of this, you’ll be in so much trouble” Ahaan warned her.“That’s exactly why I need your help. Please Ahaan, it’s been so long that I’ve done something out of my own choice. Please, one last time” She said, her shoulders slumped slightly.
“Okay, forget mom and dad for a minute. How do you trust this Vivaan guy? The last I remember; you didn’t trust anyone. And now, all of a sudden you want to go on a date with him? That too on a foreign land about which we know nothing. And since when did you start dating again?” Ahaan spoke in one breath, his face looked genuinely curious.
“I’m not dating him, okay? He is…he’s special” She replied coyly, not meeting her brother’s surprised eyes.
“Umm…wow, I mean…really?” He asked, smiling slightly.
“Yeah, I really want to go, Ahaan” She said, sighing as she sat down.
“He makes you happy” Ahaan stated. He wasn’t asking. He could see it on her face.
In that moment, she had realised that too.
“Okay, I’ll help you. I’ll cover for you” He said and her face broke into a big smile.
“But there’s a condition. You’ll have to do my assignments for the rest of the year” He added, smugly.
“You kidding right?” Samara asked in disbelief.
“Nope. So, do we have a deal?” He asked and she released a deep breath shaking her head. She had no other option.
“We do” They shook hands.**********
Later, Ahaan, by some magic power, somehow convinced their parents to go out for dinner. Samara pretended to be sick all day. She told them that she just needed some rest and sleep. She locked herself in her room and noticed the illusion Ahaan had created with pillows and blankets on her bed. Anyone who would walk in would assume that she was sleeping.
She freshened up, blow dried her wavy hair, put on a silver sequin short dress, which was simple yet classy. It clung on to her body. Enough to make guys swoon. She wore matching earrings and heels. She was never fond of heels, but she wanted to wear it that day. Some nude makeup and she was ready.
