"(F/n) get up!" mom says annoyed flinging the curtains open emitting a bright light that shined in your eyes. You tried to turn to the other side but mom, of course, took the blankets off your bed forcing you to sit up.
"Ughh fine."
"Breakfast is downstairs. By the way, when you get to school, go to the main office. You still need to get your class and then you can sign up for girls' volleyball."
"Mhm yeah."
Plopping your feet onto the cool, hardwood floor, you trudged off into the bathroom grabbing your already prepared uniform as you went. Still rubbing your eyes to wake yourself up, you brush your teeth and wash your face. After doing that, you take the pleated, dark grey skirt into your hands along with the sleeveless, tan mockneck, the white, collared shirt, and the sort of reddish bow.
'Ugh. Do I really have to wear this? Back in (country), I actually got to wear pants smh.'
Hesitantly, you pulled the girly clothes over your body and head downstairs. The kitchen was full of a family sweet, warm aroma. As you thought, your eyes wandered to the table where a stack of pancakes sat. Your face lit up with joy. Mom knew that pancakes were one of your favorite foods; you were glad she made them today.
As you ate your food, mom made small conversation about what you expect. You, of course, complained about the uniform to which mom just laughed at. After finishing, your eyes started to wander around the kitchen finally landing on a certain electrical appliance. You began to feel your heart sink and apparently the expression of your face changed immediately too.
"Oh, I forgot to put that away. Um.. I guess the previous family forgot to take it," mom hurriedly muttered running quickly towards the black waffle maker stuffing it in the cabinet.
"Can you get rid of it?"
"Yeah, honey. Of course."
"Okay thanks, I'm gonna go to school now."
"Okay, tell me how it goes!"
Mom's voice echoed as you grabbed your school bag and briskly walked out the door. Karasuno High was only about a five minute walk from your house. Ever since seeing the waffle maker, your whole mind went a little numb. Trudging your feet along the sidewalk with your head down, you looked lifeless.
Suddenly, you bumped into a tall figure.
"Tsk. Ugh. Watch where your going idiot," snared a tall teenager. He was looking down at you with a sort of evil glare in his eyes.
You hesitantly look up at the figure. Your eyes still lifeless, your back sort of hunched over, and your face pale.
"Gomen," you spat out in a monotone, feeble voice.
The teenager just stared at you as you walked ahead of him towards your new school which was bustling with teenagers around your age. In your own head, you didn't even look up as you were caught in the crowd of walking students.
"Tsukki, heyyy. What are you staring at?" another teenager with a combination of dark brown and slightly green hair perked up at the bright blond headed figure apparently named "tsukki." Brown-haired teen attempted to look in the direction that "tsukki" was also looking at. Failing to make out who "tsukki" was looking at, the brown-haired boy pulled the blonde into the mass crowd trying to get into the building.
Finally stepping foot into the building, you took a sharp left into the so-called main office. Snapping out of your lifeless state, your mind seemed to hit a reset button as your face lit up with excitement and anticipation. You couldn't lie; you were nervous.
