Tied. The sets were 2:2. Shiratorizawa took the first and the third set. However, you guys stayed in the game as the boys won the second and the fourth set. But, now this is where things get tough.

The 5th set.

At the very start of the set, the boys began to pull ahead having a three point lead over Shiratorizawa at one point. However, their success was short-lived as Shiratorizawa caught up to them and managed to pull ahead.

The score. 4:6 with Shiratorizawa in the lead. On Karasuno's side, Daichi, Suga, Asahi, Nishinoya, Tanaka, and Tsukishima stood on the court.

'I can tell these boys are tired. But the fact that they always keep on going is honestly mind-blowing. Their hunger to score a point is phenomenal. But we need to catch up. Like now. If Shiratorizawa pulls ahead anymore, it'll be pretty difficult for us to win.'

Ushijima intimidatingly served. However, it slightly bounced off the net and was falling on the upper side of the court until Daichi beautifully dived and saved the ball. However, it became a chance ball for Shiratorizawa. They received it to Shirabu with ease. He then set it wonderfully to Tendou who spiked it down with much force. To Tendou's annoyance, Tsukishima managed to get a hand on it and return it back to Shiratorizawa's side of the court. Shiratorizawa makes another attempt to score which was once again hindered by Tsukishima who got a one touch on it.

'Damn, Tsukishima's on his game today. He just needs to hang on. He really is vital for this set. It would be awful if he somehow got hurt and was unable to play.'

You shake your head.

'No, stop. That's not going to happen. I need to get those thoughts out of my head. We're going to win. We're going to win. I just know it.'

With Tsukishima's one touch, Nishinoya was able to beautifully receive the ball to Suga who set it to Tanaka. Sadly, Shiratorizawa saved it and, once again, started their offensive attempt at ending this long, exhausting rally by scoring a point. Shirabu set it and Tendou started to jump, but it was going to Ushijima in the back. Ushijima appeared from the back with such an intimidating presence. To no one's surprise, he smacked it down with immense force and a thud was heard when the ball hit the court.

'Shit.'

Out. The officials declared. A sigh of relief left your mouth as you could now breathe since this long set was finally over. However, the feeling of relief was soon gone as the call was overturned. Apparently, the ball barely grazed Tsukishima's fingers. Therefore, the point went to Shiratorizawa.

'Damn it. Now it's going to be even more difficult to win.'

You thought to yourself. A weird silence filled the court for a moment. You confusingly looked up to see Tsukishima grabbing his right fist. His teeth were clenched, and his brows were furrowed indicating that he was hurt. But, of course, he was trying his best to hide it. Everyone in the stands on our side seemed to widen their eyes as everyone on the Karasuno's side of the court hurried towards the blonde middle blocker. You give Ukai a very concerned and frightened glance as you both headed towards the huddled group around Tsukishima. When you got there, you could now see Tsukishima's injury clearly.

Blood. A stream of blood formed in between Tsukishima's ring finger and pinky. However, it seemed like the injury was on his pinky. Ukai and you both let out a gasp. You knew what everyone else was thinking including Tsukishima.

'Why now of all times?'

"The force of Ushiwaka's spike must've busted open your hand. Kazuhito!"

Ukai explained and yelled. He quickly talked to Narita (Kazuhito) before pulling you aside.

"I want you to take Tsukishima to the infirmary. His injury doesn't look like something you can just put sports tape on. It pains me to have to do this. But hurry and bring him back as soon as you can."

Ukai ordered quietly to me heading to the officials to explain the current situation. You walked over to Tsukishima and opened your mouth to beckon for him to follow you. However, no words escaped your mouth as Tsukishima willingly followed. You both started to silently walk away from the court. But when we passed Hinata, Tsukishima had a quick something to say.

"You'd better buy me some time."

"By the time you get back, we'll already be bound for nationals!"

Hinata shouted with determination towards Tsukishima. As you and Tsukishima were exiting the court, you gave him a reassuring smile, and he returned it with a thumbs up. You heard a 'tsk' come from behind you. Tsukishima was still holding on to his hand which for the time being, was wrapped in a towel.

"If only I could've stretched my hands out further, I could've st-"

Tsukishima started to mutter but you quickly stopped making Tsukishima bump into you and stop before finishing his sentence.

"And hurt yourself even more? I think not," you sternly spoke as you turned around to face the tall blonde. His face was full of frustration and regret.

"But I could've stopped him. I need to block him one more time. I need to."

"Tsukishima. You already got two extraordinary one touches off of him. Like haven't you surprised everyone including Ushijima already?"

Tsukishima stayed quiet still grabbing his injured hand. You look down on it and said...

"I'm going to have you back out there in no time. But, let me return the favor from the Johzenji match. It's my turn to take care of you."

You gently place your hand on Tsukishima's uninjured one which was grabbing his bleeding hand. As you looked up at him with a smile, you grasped his uninjured hand and began to quickly walk to the infirmary.

"It's about time."

You faintly heard Tsukishima scoff as he lets you drag him to the infirmary.
