Pulling away from the hug, you hurriedly turn off the lights and grab your stuff while Tsukishima waited for you at the door. He started to walk off, but as you locked the door, you sat down on the door steps.
"What are you doing?"
Tsukishima questioned as he turned back with a puzzled face.
"The moon's so bright tonight. It really is beautiful."
You stared into the vast sky which was strewn across with gorgeous flickers and then a bright orb that shined brightly among the little stars.
"You know, I'm just going to take that as a compliment. You basically called me beautiful."
Tsukishima said with his signature smirk as he joined you in sitting on the door steps. He was referring to his name, Tsukishima, since it basically meant 'moon.' His eyes were fixed on you. He was in awe of how mesmorized you were by the sky.
"Whatever."
You mutter as you playfully elbow him. He chuckles to himself. You gently place your head on his shoulder. It was surprisingly warm given that the night was cold.
"Tell me all about you. I wanna know everything. I wanna be someone that you can tell anything."
Tsukishima suddenly spoke. His voice was calm. Soothing. You really could tell him everything. It was kind of ironic. A couple months ago, you would have never wanted to talk this boy. But here you were about to pour out your life story to him.
You told him everything. Your head still on his strong shoulders. When you started talking about your father, he rapidly grasped your hand. You were taken by surprise, therefore making you hesitate. He just remained silent and stroked the back of your hand gently. Even though he didn't talk much, you knew he was listening. Every time your voice cracked a little because it was so hard to talk about your past, he would tighten his grip on your hand. Your breathing would stagger at certain times, but it would go back to normal once you realized who was sitting right next to you.
"You're turn. I want to know everything about you."
You suddenly spoke up.
"Me?"
Tsukishima questioned in a confused tone.
"No, the cricket over there."
You joked sarcastically pointing to the noisy bug right beside the two of you.
"Fine."
Tsukishima told you about his life too. What elementary and middle school he went to. How he met Yamaguchi. And he told you about his brother. You could tell it was sensitive topic for him because his breathing was very slightly staggered. You listened intently, and let out a simple "mhm" occasionally. You learned about his mom. How his father left his mother before he was born. How much he really admired his brother.
"This was nice, but we should start heading home before our moms get worried."
Tsukishima admitted as he started to get up. You look at your phone. It was already 9 at night. You both had spent three hours talking to each other. It was really worth it. You both knew each other a lot better than before.
"Fine. But I'm tired from practice. Can I have a piggy back ride?"
You beg looking up at him with a cute smile.
"Yeah no. That look doesn't work on me. And I'm tired too. So you're just gonna have to enjoy the walk."
"Idiot."
"Dumbass."
You two continued teasing each other. As the both of you walked closer to your house, you asked something.
"Should we tell the team? Wouldn't it be weird if we got all close all of a sudden?"
You implored stopping dead in your tracks causing Tsukishima to stop and look back at you.
"It'd probably be best if we did. I bet Suga would kill us if we kept this a secret. Plus it would just be easier if we just came clean."
Tsukishima pointed out.
"But you're gonna be the one to tell them."
Tsukishima quickly added.
"What?! Why me? No, no, no. Ugh... that's way too embarrassing."
You groaned as you face palm yourself.
"Hm... I think I remember all those times that I took care of you. Lemme see... I carried you while you were unconscious. I missed out on the entire first set of a volleyball game because of you. I carried you home in the rain. Do I need to continue?"
Tsukishima reminded you as he widened his eyes and smirked. He started walking off towards your house.
"You did not just. Fine."
You gave in as you hurry your steps to catch up with the snarky blond. Your snarky blond.
