When they finally reached 'Gedonelune Town', a large township on the outskirts of the academy, Aurora halted by the fountain and stood dumbstruck at the backlit sigh of the buildings and streets. Along with the decorative lights, there were a lot of pretty harvests-related ornaments hanging around the lampposts and colorful pieces of cloth appending on the porches of multiple houses. Although the place being empty of people strolling around, It was a truly captivating sigh.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Luca walked over to her; he gallantly leaned in from her back and whispered into her ear."Wait until you see the festivities, it gets way better than this," He slid his hands down to hers, wrapping their fingers together and pulling them over her head so she could do a little twirl and face him again. He searched her gaze and saw her blush in the dim starlight. That view of her took a strange effect on him, but he chose to ignore it for the time being. He gently patted her on the head. "Come. Fun awaits."
"Where are we going? I mean... we're here already. Right?" She innocently asked.
"To the center of town," He said."There's where the party is, princess." She felt her sleeve being pulled by Luca, "Follow me." and she was lead to a gap between two major buildings; she could swear it got smaller closer to the end."Before you ask, it's a short-cut." He energetically dragged Aurora through it, racing to the light at the end of the tunnel.
"H-Hold on Luca...!"
"This will save us a lot of time."
"O-Okay..." She replied in a breathless voice. "Do you think we'll get there in time?" She looked up and watched the round moon slowly drifting along as they fast-walked. It was so big; it looked like you could reach out and touch it."The moon's already at its peak."
"I see," Also taking a slight peak at the sky above their heads, he seemed to agree."I have an idea." He pulled out his wand from inside his jacket and pointed it at the ground, shifting between his feet and Aurora's, "Volantem Calceatus!" and chanted those two words. A puff of smoke engulfed the two of them and, when it vanished, a pair set of wings appeared on each side of their shoes.
"Woah--!" As sudden as a sneeze can get, her feet lifted off the ground and her body joined rather lubberly. "Luca..!" She cried out of surprise and grabbed onto his cloak tightly. "What did you do?!" She asked, wide-eyed.
"Gave us wings!" A smile spread across his lips. "No more running for us!"
"B-But I don't know how to do this... Eek--!" Her now flying boots seemed completely unbridled, sending her body in an upsidedown position. "No-no, down... dow-- I said down!" Sadly, they didn't respond to any of her commands.
"Pff-- You're doing this all wrong," He sneered at her, then grabbed her wrist and pulled her down."You just have to visualize it. That's the trick." He kept her in place by having his hands secure on her forearms.
"I-I don't get it, please teach me!" She pleaded, burying her face in her hands to hide the despair it showed.
"Fine," He breathed out."Close your eyes." Even if still hesitant and doubtful, she did as she was told."Envision the process."
"How?" She half-opened one of her eyes and peeped through her eye-lashes.
"Close it--" He warned her, with widened eyes and a stern expression, uncharacteristically of him, "Concentrate. See the wings flapping against the leather of your boots, feel the wind running through its feathers and how it lifts them up briefly to give it stability... Do you see it?"
