Light poured in from a large window, and a fan overhead made the curtains flutter.

The young wizardess's face looked troubled; she couldn't help to wonder about the future. What were to become of Gedonelune's now that the king was arrested and that the dragon-eye have been pulled out? Who will reign over the land? Would Luca be recognized as this land's rightful heir? Would he be willing to accept it? Would it even be allowed? There were too many questions and too few answers.

"If you keep up with the hard thinking, you'll gain wrinkles and just end like me, old and sad." He said smirking over his shoulder while drying off his hands in a soft cloth after working earnestly into tending to minor cuts and bruises. "What's wrong, Aurora?" He threw the cloth away into a closeby bin then, walked up to her and sat next to her on the cushion.

"What will happen to the kingdom now that the king was arrested?" She looked up at him with an anxious expression.

"Someone is pointed out as the successor, as simple as that." said Randolph.

"Can't Luca just assume his place in the royal court?" she asked, running her fingers through few strands of hair to straighten it."He's the princess' son after all."

With a deep and long-drawn sigh, he seemed to be prepared for a lengthy talk."That's not how it works in the real world. Things are much more complicated than you think. The court members would never allow it, he's a troublemaker kid, and one born out of wedlock, to top that. They will do everything in their power to stop that from happening."  He said, whose expression made it clear he had seen and deemed their actions."And besides, you have as much right to the throne as Luca."

For a second she looked baffled and then grinned."You're joking, right?"

He shook his head, silently telling her that he was being serious.

"I don't understand, I--" She became confused in her speech and stopped in the middle of what she was saying. "--How can that be?!"

He brushed a strand of hair off her eyes and tucked it behind her ear, softly murmuring to her, "The Dragon-eye chose you to be this land's queen. What did you think that burst of light meant, silly?"

She blinked with surprise, stock-still, not expecting the news. It seemed that her intelligence main system was malfunctioning at the moment. At first, it seemed like a major problem, but after a quick reboot, she was back in the game. Her lungs finally released the breath she'd been holding in."T-That's impossible! There must be a mistake... Y-You must have gotten all wrong-- you have to!" It bounced around her head, first in disbelief, then in shock, and at last, in denial.

"It's a magical gem--" his words were cut off by Aurora's hysteria.

She laughed in a sarcastic manner, "Yeah right-- You're way over your head Randolph... Just because it's a magic stone, it doesn't mean it's flawless!"

"Aurora..." The dean began in a scolding tone, "The gem chose you. Not Luca, you. It shone when the stone fell in your hands."

"Y-You're delusional, the Gedonelune kingdom already has a prince, it doesn't really have the need to find another suitor... And-And how could you possibly have known that happened?! You weren't even in that tower to know that! Besides, it's most likely it to be a mistake, right?" Aurora almost shouted, taking hold of both his hands with a passionate movement.
