Surviving A Fairytale (OC Fanfic- SGE)

Chapter Nine- Trials and Tribulations

During Good Deeds, Rose, Yena, and I kept researching for our project about the Maidenvale Feminist Research Center. "We should create a rock band!" I said to Yena and Rose. "No." They both said at once. "Oh come on guys, we could write a song about girl power and perform it during the fundraiser! We could wear matching band tees and everything!" 

"Catrina, that's not a good idea," said Rose. "We're misfits and we don't want to make the situation worse." 

"Yeah" agreed Yena.

I groaned. "But it could be so revolutionary! We could all wear combat boots and thick eyeliner, the whole works, and then Emma and her lame troupe won't know what's hit them!" I responded back.

"It could possibly work," said Rose. 

"No, absolutely not," said Yena. "I'm not doing this." 

I was kinda pissed, but I didn't say anything back. 

"Back to the drawing board, I guess." sighed Rose.

About 30 minutes later, it was time for Surviving Fairytales. Scarlet and Alex were practically canoodling, as they were cuddling close in each other arms and Scarlet kept kissing him on the cheek.

"Looks like someone's jealous," Rose said to me a joking tone.

"Eww. Am not." I responded. Alex was such a goddamn player. First his lame attempt at flirting with me, then Emmalyn, and now Scarlet. What's next, consecutively flirting and then dating half the girls in the school? Yuck. I was not falling for that type of guy and that's that.

All of sudden Yuba appeared. "Ok, as you may or may not know the first Trial by Tale is next month! There's one in December, and another one in April! Today we're starting off relatively easy and learning how to properly mogrify!"

With the help of their fingerglows, everyone then mogrified into different animals, with Yuba's help of course. 

Once all of that had been done, everyone received their ranks and Scarlet was cuddling in Alex's arms again. Emma looked pissed, which as much as I hate to admit it, it was kind of understandable in a way, considering Alex just broke up with her yesterday.

Anyways, Yuba then said "Mogrification is a huge responsibility. And everyone must get used to mogrification, as you too may become a mogrif for many years to come after your schooling."

A couple of the bottom-ranked students groaned. 

"Oh, and we have a new student in our group called Taylor. She moved from Forest Group #5 to this group because she didn't feel welcome in the other group," said Yuba. I quickly turned to that group where there was stomping troll as that group's teacher, with most of the students in that group screaming. Wow.

Anyway, a cute petite girl with dark brown hair and hazel eyes started running up to our group, eating a piece of chocolate and smiling gleefully. That had to be Taylor. I was a bit confused because she looked so adorable and nice and yet she was wearing a Never uniform. 

"Hey I'm Taylor and I'm a Never!" she exclaimed to our group with the perkiest smile on her face. "I'm currently a Never but both Dean Sophie and Dean Kiko think that's there's been a mistake in admissions and I should be an Ever instead!"

"Tell me about it" muttered Harriet. Harriet's face looked like she wanted to push Taylor off of a cliff. I was so confused. Why was Harriet being so nasty to Taylor? Maybe there's something about Taylor I didn't know about, but I still didn't know why Harriet was behaving that way towards her. 

"Anyways, Taylor will be our Forest Group from here on out! So everyone should get to know her really well!" continued Yuba.

Harriet looked extremely annoyed.
