Chapter Thirteen- Point Of No Return

A few days passed where I was constantly on edge, feeling shaky and nervous, unsure of what I could do about the L situation. Then on Friday, November 21st, when I woke up, I got out of bed sweating and hyperventilating, getting eerily close to being at rock bottom.

Rose quickly walked up to me as soon as I woke up and said: "Hey Catrina, are you alright?" I didn't know how to respond. If I didn't go out with Alexander,  I would be dead. But I didn't like Alexander, at least not romantically. Ew.

Great. It's a lose-lose situation.

To make matters worse, during Etiquette I just realised that today would be The Garden Of Good And Evil field trip during Surviving Fairytales. I really didn't know what to expect and to think that L could potentially be there waiting for me, to plot my demise, made everything so much more hopeless.

I stumbled through ballroom dancing, literally and figuratively, since I tripped over a few times. Jocelyn, my dance partner sneered at me multiple times. A '20' popped over my head and a '19' over Jocelyn. Jocelyn looked like she was going to gag at the sight of me after that.

Whatever, Jocelyn was rude and stuck up to begin with. Like I gave a damn about her lame opinion.

Pollux sighed after I received my ranking. "I really don't know what Dean Kiko sees in you. You're a disaster, from head to toe, and a loser beyond repair. I truly don't understand why Dean Kiko would choose to tutor such a disgrace. You're even worse at Etiquette than when Agatha first started at this school, and that's saying at lot." he said with despair in his face, staring straight at me.

"But she eventually became Queen of Camelot, so your point is?" I responded.

Pollux just looked taken aback, simply yelling "Class dismissed!" to the entire class.

During Animal Communication, Rose and I surprised Yena with a birthday cake, since today was her sixteenth birthday. Rose and I were able to sneakily gain access to the kitchen after hours using Rose's plan. It was kinda crazy, sneaking into the air vents to sneak into the kitchen after curfew, but hey, it worked.

Anyways, the entire class sang Happy Birthday to Yena, even Emma, Milla, and Keira. Yena had a ginormous smile on her face and said "Thanks, guys!"

"Here's your present," said Rose.

It was a beautiful black-stitched dragon scarf that Rose made.

"Hopefully it will remind you of home

"Hopefully it will remind you of home." said Rose with a big grin on her face.

Yena looked overjoyed with happiness and glee. "I love it, thanks guys!" She then embraced us in a hug.

"I can't believe Yena ditched us for those losers," muttered Emma to Keira and Milla. "We're like, the most popular girls in school and everyone knows it."

Keira and Milla then burst out laughing.

During Good Deeds later that day, Yena wore her scarf proudly to class. Keira then shoved Yena on the floor.
