Rose, Yena, and I alerted Dean Kiko about the incident immediately. After that, guards were stationed around the School for Good and all students were closely monitored. The day after that, on Sunday, the three of us decided to keep investigating. Maya actually managed to convince Dean Kiko to return to SGE and she quickly made friends with Miranda and Tessa within a few hours.
So, that was that. Or at least I hoped.
Anyways, my cousin Naomi, who's a second year, came to check up on me for the first time, even though I didn't need checking upon.
But I digress. She walked towards me in the foyer, where quite a lot of Evers congregate on weekends. I distinctly heard one first-year Everboy say "Now that's what I picture when I think of Snow White's granddaughter. Beauty, grace, and sophistication. Not that rascal who I can't even hold down in a fight."
Before I could respond, Naomi, with her golden blonde locks practically strutted towards me. I'm not gonna lie, I'm used to being the black sheep of the family, who most of my family says "Why can't you be more like Naomi? A proper beautiful young lady who wears dresses and heels instead of a girl who insists on wearing band t-shirts and combat boots? You're not a commoner Catrina, grow up!"
I actually used to be a girly girl for most of my life, as a kid I found it enjoyable because you know, I was a kid. I really haven't been girly for the past year or so, maybe past two years, that's when I finally broke out of my shell and became the person I am today. Ever since I was maybe twelve or thirteen I felt miserable in this persona my family essentially made for me, and now that I have the confidence to become me, I couldn't be more happier.
Anyways, Naomi strutted straight up to me, looking even prissier than usual. "Ugh, Naomi, do you always, have to look like such a stuck-up girly priss?" I said to her straight off the bat. I was not going to deal with her stupid drama, which was typically about a boy not liking her or the wrong shade of lipstick applied to her sickeningly perfect lips.
Naomi gasped. "That's no way to speak to your cousin! I came to see if you were alright and yet you talk to me like this! I can't believe you. Just because you're not as pretty as I am, and you don't have the perfect style like me, and most of the White family hate you, doesn't mean you can speak to me like that!"
Argh! She actually had a solid point at the beginning, but she had to spoil it with her narcissistic tendencies.
"Naomi, why can't you be nice for just one second? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called you a priss, but you don't have to be so mean and harsh!" I quickly responded.
Naomi just giggled. "Mean and harsh? I'm just being honest!"
I rolled my eyes yet again. Naomi is actually a month younger than me, but for some reason, she was allowed to go to the school last year when she was fifteen instead of this year. Probably so we wouldn't be put into the same class, I don't know.
Naomi reapplied her lipstick. Then she told us she wanted to meet us back in our dorm. We reluctantly agreed. Luckily, the horrifying blood had been cleaned a few hours after the incident, so when we all got there, our room looked completely normal. Then she walked around the room. Our dorm room was actually one of the smaller dorms in the School for Good, but she spent ten entire minutes pacing around the dorm room. When she had finished doing that, she kept her voice to a low whisper and said: "I think I can help you with your mystery."
"What mystery?" I responded, trying to stay as nonchalant as possible. Naomi then started giggling. "I don't know what you're talking about," said Yena in a fierce tone. Then caused Naomi to shut right up. "Alright, well I'll be heading off now. And Catrina, you can hang out with me once you learn to fix that ghastly attitude of yours." Naomi said to me.
