chapter 7

Let's do a mini time skip...

Humming a tune Yuna adored back in her own world, she literally glowed with happiness as she skipped around the garden. Today was an important day and she didn't want to miss it.

" You seem happy today, my lady. "

Yuna pursed her lips together as she inclined her head towards Kael's voice. Her dim golden eyes narrowing slightly as she smelt the disgusting stench reek on him.

" I was but then you came to destroy it. " She appeared disgusted at him as she pinched her nose close to avoid the stench of monsters clinging to him. " You should've taken a bath. "

" I did. Its just that my lady's a sensitive teen. Puberty must be so hard to go through again. "

Despite not being able to see him, Yuna could imagine Kael barely holding in his laugh. She was going to berate him but the strange envelope he carried held her attention. Yes, she couldn't see anything but she could still sense mana.

Every living being, may they be awakened or not, all held mana. Even inanimate objects were able to retain mana though not for a long time. Besides, what was the point of fusing mana to everyday objects when it can't help you defeat the monsters? So imagine her surprise to not only feel some mana in the envelope but feel a S-rank's mana in it.

" Did you kill some S-ranker while I wasn't watching? "

Kael made a sound of someone about to laugh but choked midway as Yuna quickly snatched the envelope. Not even bothering to carefully open it, she teared through the paper till she reached inside and felt a plastic casing. It was square and it didn't have any mana.

" What is this? "

" Perhaps if my lady hadn't made that blunt assumption earlier and listened to me, " Kael gently removed the plastic square(I swear this isn't what it is omg sho dirty minded) from Yuna's hands. " I would've explained the contents. "

Yuna crossed her arms and impatiently tapped her foot. Kael only sighed as he fought off a wide smile at the cute display and focused on the plastic case.

" Will my lady please turn around? "

" Why? "

" My lady. "

Yuna glared some more before relenting and did as told. Kael nodded his head at her obedience and carefully removed the item in the plastic case.

Yuna felt Kael tie her long hair into a ponytail before she felt his fingers brush along her neck. Immediately tensing and ready to fight for her life. She briefly relaxed when he only placed a silk like ribbon around her neck.

She closed her eyes and let the mana guide her into knowing what the object was. It was a choker.

" What's this for? "

She turned around to face him and could make out his shape through his blood red mana that was coiling around him. It was sinister but it turned gentle and meek whenever she was near.

She traced the pendant and could feel that it was shaped like a star. It even held some of his mana inside albeit sealed.

" To keep pests away. "

Yuna could only tilt her head in confusion before spreading her mana around the place.

Strange...

There were no pests in the garden.

Sorry for the delay. I lost my muse and lost a person dear to me. He's in a better place now. School just started and it's very draining. The new chapters of solo leveling motivated me to update as it is in my favorite part of the novel now.

The demands to update also gave me the motivation. Please do so again if I ever forget to update. I appreciate everyone who took the time to read this nonsense of a story...

Tbh I only wrote this cause I'm obsessed with butler characters. Though, idk if I'll pair them together. Jinwoo's hot and that fire magician dude is hot too. I can't choose 😔. I should just allow polygamy here lol. This is rushed so sorry if there's any error.
