Chapter 26

(Robert's POV)

The job went well, but it just took forever to get what we wanted. We came there for one person and he does what he does every time we get hot on his trail, he gets away, he slips off into the woods, he always finds a way. Lilly gladly didn't get shot, she was in the aim of fire twice, but we all were at certain points of the job.

Lydia tried to fight Lilly when I wasn't in range of her position, and Lydia got fucked up for once. It seems as if Lilly can fight when she's upset, but when she's in a normal mindset she can't.

We all got in late last night and Austin fell asleep on the living room floor in front of the couch, he was seriously exhausted. (Y/N) came in and got him to come upstairs and properly sleep in their bed. Now the only thing I can hear is the sound of Carter laughing and Maddie running up and down the hallway, so (Y/N) must be up with them.

"Mmm...." Lilly said moving around in bed "Robert?"

"What?" I said wiping my face up and down with my hands.

"Are you gonna get tired of me?" she asked with her back facing me.

"Lilly, where did that question even come from?" I asked in my deep morning voice.

"Lydia said that you have needs that I can't fulfill and that you would get tired of-"

"Don't listen to her" I said cutting her off.

"Is it true?" she asked but I didn't answer "It is true then" she said throwing the covers off of her and walking into the bathroom.

"Lilly..." I said following her into the bathroom.

"Just leave me alone" she said leaning over the sink.

"I'm not going to leave you, okay?" I said pushing those foreign words out of my mouth.

"Yes you are if I can't fulfill your needs" she said tears running down and staining her cheeks.

"You do fulfill my needs, not the usual way, but I'm fine with it" I said.

"What's the usual way?" she asked.

"Anything but vanilla sex" I answered.

"What the hell is vanilla sex?" she asked.

"Regular sex" I answered.

"What do you usually do?" she asked.

"I'm not going to discuss that" I said standing behind her and leaning over the counter, my chest against her back.

"What do you just like to fuck girls? is that it?" she said looking over her shoulder up at me.

"Usually yes, but not all the time" I said stifling a laugh at how straight forward she can be.

"Have you done with others what you did with me?" she asked putting her hand over mine.

"No"

"What about Lydia?" she asked.

"No"

"So you've only had regular-"

"Lilly, stop with all the questions" I exhaled "I only had regular sex with you, not anyone else"

"Why did you do that with me then?" she asked.

"Because" I said.

"Because what?" she asked.

"You're too innocent for me to do what I usually do with everyone else" I hesitantly spoke.

"Why couldn't you just do it though?" she asked "Like screw all the rest and go with it"
