Chapter 41

4 Months Later

(Robert's POV)

We left Austin's house a month ago and ever since we've been at my house. From time to time we call them when Lilly has a question about the baby, we've had one job since I've been back in my house. It was a pretty small job, but it still required a lot of work.

Lilly had a mini encounter with the guard when we went to the mall, she went over to throw her trash away and he jacked her up pulling her to the side. I didn't even realize it because me, Austin, and Alex were joking around.

She came back over and had no expression whatsoever, she wasn't laughing like she was at first either. I knew something was wrong and I grabbed her hand pulling her into me, asking her what's wrong, and as soon as I did so she broke into tears and mumbled out the whole thing into my shoulder.

By the time Austin and Alex went over there he was gone, this dude comes and goes so quick, it's either you're there when he is or you can just forget it.

Now I'm laying in bed next to Lilly, she's giggling and smiling over at me then looking down at her huge belly and has been for the last fifteen minutes.

"What's funny?" I asked.

"I don't know" she said "I'm just really happy"

"That's good because in two more months we get to see our little boy" I said resting my hand over hers, feeling the baby kick soon after as a smile spread across her face.

"Yeah, I can't wait to meet him" she said looking down at both of our hands. I leaned over and kissed her forehead gently as she looked up at me smiling afterwards.

"What are we gonna name him?" I asked looking over to her.

"Colin?" she asked and I shook my head "What about you?"

"Jace?" I asked and she chuckled shaking her head no.

"Landon?" she asked and I paused and thought about it.

"It sounds like a good name for an older boy but not a baby" I shrugged and she nodded.

"What about Ethan?" she asked looking across the room and then around the room as if she was trying to come up with more names by doing that.

"That one I can deal with, but I think we should think some more" I said and she nodded.

"We can come back to it later" she said turning over and laying completely on her back "Anything else you want to talk about?" she asked and I immediately tensed up "What is it?"

"I promised you that I wouldn't let him hurt you again" I breathed.

"Yeah, and you didn't break that promise" she said with a bright smile.

"Lilly, me and Austin called a police officer so you can tell him what happened" I said and she looked at me wide eyed.

"No!" she screamed "What don't you get!?"

"Lilly you have to tell them what happened or he's just gonna find more ways to get to you" I said staring at her.

"No I told you what he would do if I told!" she yelled loudly.

"Baby he won't be able to do anything if you tell" I said practically yelling "You didn't do anything the last time, but he still came after you"

"It was months ago, can't we get past it?" she said loudly.

"You're terrified to go anywhere, you call that getting past it?" I yelled "You're not safe and I can't protect you every second of the day"

"I don't want to re-" she stopped and placed her hands on her stomach.
