GENERATION Z

CHAPTER SEVEN

mel opened the door and saw many black lives matter posters left around the house. "y'all have gone to protests?" she asked. "yeah and they're actually really fun" said kevin. mel was just glad that her friends were fighting for whats right. "so where is my room? i'm so excited to see it!!" ava took mel all the way up to her room and when ava opened the door mel was so happy to see the inside. there were LED lights, a beautiful bed, a full body mirror, basically her dream room. mel threw herself on the bed and said "thank you! my room is perfect." ava said "you're welcome! but i gotta go to the bathroom real quick so i'll be right back" ava ran to the restroom as if she was holding it in all day.

~time skip~

danny shouted "DINNERS READY!!" loud enough for everyone to hear. glen was the first one to speed down the stairs. within the blink of an eye you saw ava beside him on the dinner table. melanie has just gotten out of the shower so she quickly went to her room to change. kevin skipped down in a pretty happy way. "what's up kevin why are you so happy?" said glen, a bit worried since kevin is usually always neutral in situations, "oh nothing, i'm just glad that we are all finally having a sort of 'proper meal' together." ava laughed and said "come one babe sit next to me." kevin sat down and held ava's hand. danny and glen both started setting the table and glen did most of the work considering he was starving. melanie fell down the stairs as she ran down them and everyone laughed. "okay!! im here...what's for dinner?" danny looked at melanie with a smirk and said "poop!!" mel had a disgusted and confused look on her face. "i'm kidding! we are having lasagna" danny laughed. kevin was excited
since lasagna was his favorite. everyone ate the whole entire lasagna in less than twenty minutes.
everyone went up to there room to rest except melanie. she stayed at the dinner table. thinking.

MELANIES POV
i'm so glad i live with all my best friends. but how am i supposed to live with my crush on kevin if he's dating ava? this is too much for me to comprehend. i don't wanna deal with it anymore. but i have to. there is nothing i can do but at least try to move on. i'll do my best.

ORIGINAL POV
melanie wasn't tired (considering she's been asleep for months) so she went to the tv put netflix on and started scrolling through all the different shows and movies to see what she could watch and what was trending. she finally decided to watch naruto. she fell asleep on the couch about an hour later.

~time skip~

kevin woke up thinking it was a bit chilly so he got up to get another blanket. on the way to the storage closet he saw melanie on the couch. he picked her up, and carried her all the way to her room. she was already in her pjs so he just tucked her in and left the room. melanie woke up and opened her eyes to see kevin walking out of the room. she was too tired to process anything so she just turned around and started snuggling with the pillow.
