CHAPTER FOUR

kevin told melanie the plan then waited about ten minutes then checked the hallway one more time till there was about three doctors and two patients

kevin helped melanie get up and off her hospital bed. "WOW...i am NOT as weak to walk as i thought" said melanie in shock. kevin laughed and said "yeah well you think you would be weak knowing you're usually a lazy person" "true". melanie changed into the clothes kevin had in his backpack even though he didn't think she would wake up this late but fortunately he was prepared. kevin checked the hallway and luckily there was actually no one in the hallway and they both went to the elevator and went from the fourth floor, all the way down, to the first floor. kevin gave melanie a visitors pass he had stolen from the front desk a couple of months ago so she could wear. melanie put it on quickly and then the elevator door opened and the walked out looking like just a normal pair of friends.

~time skip~

melanie quickly got in the van after kevin and ava was so excited she couldn't help but scream "BESTIEEEEE I MISSED YOU!!!" and threw herself at melanie to give her a huge hug. melanie was a bit surprised at ava's strength but she hugged her back and said "i missed you too!". glen and danny both mimicked ava's girly scream as a joke before saying "we missed you mel" "i missed you guys too"

~another time skip~

after a long ride glen decided it's time to go to nearest gas station to fill up the car with gas. meanwhile everyone else got out to get snacks. "so when are you gonna tell me everything that's happened kevin?" said melanie being really curious since she saw many people with masks and gloves on. "oh yeah so  basically it all started month by month like different stages of a video game or something like that and in january it started pretty well but you remember temp right or crappy president?" "oh yeah i hate him" "yeah well he had this impeachment thing but i dont think it worked cause there are still SO MANY people supporting him" kevin had rolled his eyes in an ignorant way. "oh that's not surprising considering how dumb his supporters are" "yeah but there was also the corona virus which started off alright as an epidemic but then it got worse in march and we got into quarentine and you can only leave your house for certain things but not that many people are paying attention to it since it's all "getting better" sooo yeah and then in february umm...kobe bryant died in a helicopter crash with one of his daughters..." "WHAT!? i mean i never liked basketball but he seemed like a nice person!" said melanie in surprise. "yeah well death is unexpected" "true"
