When I woke up the next morning I thought back to all I've learned the day before. I was to marry Poppy Hall in order for her to build up financial resources while raising little Rose with my families support. Was it just me or did it sound fucked up?

I decided to call Parker. When I had taken Poppy home we had agreed that each of us could chose precisely one person to tell the truth about our marriage. That didn't include my parents of course.

Poppy said something about me not having to worry since she didn't have more than one person to talk to anyway anymore. I felt kind of bad for her.

Pushing these thoughts away I dialed Parkers number. He picked up after the second ring.

"What's up?"

"Hey. I need to talk. Do you want to come over?"

"Ha. You sound like a pussy."

I growled.

"I'll be there in 10." He hung up before I had a chance to answer.

Fine then. Ten minutes is was. I jumped out of bed and took a quick shower. I secured the towel around my hips and walked back into my room. If the bright sunlight was an indication it was gonna be hot out there in a matter of minutes.

I decided to go with swim trunks instead of getting properly dressed. Oh the perks of summer break and having the house to myself.

I had just stepped into the kitchen, where Camila was fixing breakfast with Rose crying on her arm, when the doorbell rang.

"Give her to me", I said holding my hands out. Camila handed Rose to me and I walked to answer the door, cradling her against my chest and making "shh, shh" noises. Needless to say, it didn't help at all.

When I opened the door, Parker stood there waiting.

Before he could say a thing, he was pushed aside.

"What do you think you're doing walking around the house almost naked? Get dressed, you moron."

"Whoa, who shit in your Cheerios this morning?"

She rolled her eyes. "Is this all you got?", She asked me, taking Rose from my hands.

"Good morning, little sunshine", she cooed in her sweetest voice walking past me without another word.

I shrugged and glanced back at Parker. He still stood there in the doorway dumdfounded.

"Are you gonna come in or what?"

"What was that?"

"That", I said gesturing to her, "was my fiancee. Ain't she lovely?"

Parkers eyes gaped open in horror. "Your what?"

"My fiancee."

"You can't be serious", he whispered, staring after her.

I rolled my eyes. "Try me", I said as I dragged him inside so I could close the door. We didn't need the whole neighborhood listing to our conversation.

I walked towards the kitchen, Parker in tow.

"Hi Camila", Parker greeted our housekeeper.

"Good morning, Mr. Parker."

"You'll never call me Parker, will you?"

She shook her head and smiled stirring the scrambled eggs.

"Camila, could you fix a little something for Parker as well?", I asked interrupting their easy banter.

"Please", Poppy barked from somewhere behind Camila. "Did you crawl out of a hole? Didn't anybody bother to teach you some manners? No offense, Camila."
