Ch 8 Y/N's Drawing Lesson

After they all went back to their seats, Hunter stood up.

Hunter: Now what this shows that basically anything can be used as a weapon. You really just need to use your imagination.

Y/N: On a lighter note the next class will be the art of drawing.

All of their expressions changed to confusion as seeing what they went all through they are unsure what Y/N might have in mind for the next class. Velvet's ears or rather bunny ears perked up, remembering what did happen to them at the pond. She thought that what Y/N said must surely be linked to the next lesson, but this came at a cost as she remembered of what happened on the way back. Once Coco saw the drawing she teased Velvet hinting at what is happening.

Y/N: Now you all may be wondering on why after going through all that we would cover something like art.

Nora: You got that right!

Y/N: I'll explain it tomorrow. You all may go.

Ruby: Bye Y/N and Hunter.

Yang: Ruby spoke for me.

Blake: Bye.

Weiss: The class was certainly informative. I enjoy that this class touches on a multitude of areas.

Hunter: Weiss, we aren't your teachers once class is over.

Weiss: Right sorry. Getting used to the idea.

All the other students said their goodbyes but Velvet as she lingered. Meanwhile Glynda and Ozpin were discussing the class

Glynda: About 3/4ths of the class left.

Ozpin: Now, now he did say it is not for the faint of heart. Though the ones who did stay behind I can say are more important.

Glynda: This class is unorthodox and you do know that the council would never approve.

Ozpin: That is why this is listed under a false name. You know that the world ever changing and as such we must step up our measures as the reality is different to that of the classroom setting. We can at least best try to replicate it.

Glynda: Though I agree but this is only first years. Once Y/N and Hunter get adjusted the two will need more than nine students.

Ozpin: That we can both agree on. Now we must go now as I'm sure they have plans.

Y/N stopped talking to Hunter as he pointed out that Velvet is still in class. He decided to push Y/N to her.

Y/N: Uh so why didn't your team join?

Velvet: Huh? Oh. You see Coco insisted that I joined since I only do martial arts. Then once she found out who was teaching she pushed it.

Y/N: Interesting. Any reason why?

Velvet: Oh you know it's for self defense, but I rather find a peaceful solution.

Y/N: I can respect that. It does takes a lot to take the more peaceful path. I don't that.

Velvet: Don't say that about yourself. What you did was to protect me. We all do things in our own way.

The two stood in silence not knowing what to say any further. Y/N thinking she wants to go about now gave her a way out.

Y/N: Well sorry for taking your time.

Velvet: No, no. I did find what you said to be interesting.
