Velvet had to wait for the next round before going in. Y/N on the other hand was in the middle of the bridge being pelted by bullets by Grubs in the two opposing courtyards.
Hunter: Y/N, you having fun out there?
Y/N: I'm having a jolly good time. Thanks for asking.
Hunter: Well since you are having so much fun I'm going to send in Maulers supported by Maulers.
Y/N: Fuck you.
Behind some sandbags he quickly moved to cover closer to the Locust going behind the pillars of the bridge. Mindlessly shooting at them with the retro lancer while in cover he manages to down Grenadier.
Y/N: One...two...three.
Y/N quickly rolls to Grenadier and grabs it as a meat shield.
Y/N: (to meat shield) You're pretty much fucked now.
The Grenadier was indeed fucked as enemies relentless fired at it trying to kill Y/N behind their comrade. Y/N just walked closer much to the confusion of the students.
Ruby: Uhhh isn't that kinda suicidal?
Anthony: He has a meat shield.
Jaune: Meat shield?
Anthony: Jaune 2, it means he is using a person as a human shield.
Pyrrha: Was this the norm in your world?
Hunter: Well when you can we would.
Nora+Yang: Awesome.
Anthony: Shhh, this is the best part.
As soon as Y/N got close enough to the Locust he stuck a grenade on the grub, throwing the thing to its teammates.
Y/N: See ya later.
With that Y/N ran off as the Grenadier and Mauler tag team combo was getting near.
Weiss: That was certainly effective.
Nora: Boooo. When are the big things is the big things coming. What do they do?
Hunter: Right you didn't see it.
Anthony: The Mauler has this explosive flail.
Nora: I already like its weapon.
Hunter: Well when you are on the Mauler's receiving end you will not like it.
Anthony: Let's just say if we still buried our people you wouldn't want an open casket.
Blake: You all seemed to go through these...
Anthony: Grubs.
Blake: ...Grubs easily.
Ruby: Yeah! They don't look so tuff! I bet we can beat them lickety-split.
Anthony: They can stomp your head in as if it's a grape. You know they can rip off arms?
Yang: Oohhh.
Y/N just finished off the Grenadier and was directly running at the Mauler.
Ren: Isn't that the opposite of what you want to do?
Hunter: It's on its own. Besides in our line of work you have to be crazy to do what has to be done.
Anthony: Besides we were pilots which in its own right it is. The amount of losses the pilots sustain. Every time some were sent we would lose a few.
