Chapter 25: Birthday Fever

Y/n’s point of view

It’s been a week since we’ve been here training on the beach, it was a great get away from home for me even if I had to train in the mornings. But things were different today, everyone in the class seemed off today. Every Time I’ve tried to talk to my classmates they seemed to be avoiding me. Even Midoriya and Todoroki were avoiding me today, the class became nervous and jumpy every time they saw me.

I don’t get it, why was everyone avoiding me today? There were whispers and every time I entered my own cabin Mina would push me out and lock the door. Honestly it hurt to see that no one wanted to hang out with me today, was it because I pushed them too hard during training. We were all working on trying to figure out a special attack. I sighed and walked to the stores by myself.

When I got there I saw Kirishima and Kaminari coming out of a store with bags, “Hey guys want some help?” I asked as I approached them, they began to panic, “O-Oh Y/n no we’re fine u-uh” Kaminari said waving his hands in full panic mode. “Y-Yeah i-it wouldn’t be manly for us to let our sis carry it, s-s-so go ahead and go h-have f-fun we g-got this,” Kirishima said trying to come up with an excuse then they both ran away.

I sighed putting my hands into my (f/c) hoodie pockets and walked around the neighborhood by myself. I walked for about a good hour listening to my music and decided to get something to eat at a small cafe since my classmates won’t let me into my cabin. I walked in seeing a waitress at the front door.

“Hello my name is Su and I’ll be your waitress,” the young blonde gave me a sweet smile, “Hello,” I said politely, “It’s just me today,” Su smiled and walked me to a single table with a single chair, “Would you like to start off with a drink?” Su asked, taking out a small notepad and pen. I nodded, “Just milk tea please,” I gave her a smile as she wrote it down.

I put my head in my hands and tried to relax today, and looked through the small menu, I didn’t want anything big but a lot of this stuff really looked good. Su came back with milk tea and she placed it on the small table beside me. “Thank you” I smiled at her and she smiled back at me, “Are you ready to order ma’am?” she smiled and held up her notepad. “ Tamagoyaki (Japanese Rolled Omelette) please,” Su smiled and walked away with her notepad in hand.

As I waited in my seat I played a game on my phone, “My mommy says you're a really nice lady,” a child said out of nowhere which kinda startled me. I looked down beside me to see a small child probably at the age of 6 smiling at me. I smile back at the small child, “Hey there little guy, my name is Y/n Gaara what’s your name?” I turned myself around in my chair to face the little boy and smiled at him. 

“Kotaru Minsu, I’m five,” the boy smiled happily as he held up his hand. I giggled and ruffled his hair, “Kotaru that’s our guest, go play in your room please.” Su came over to me with a hot plate of tamagoyaki. “But mommy she is a nice lady and I have no one to play with.” he whined giving out an adorable pout. I smiled at his cuteness, Su bowed, “I’m sorry if my son is disturbing you.”

“No he’s not Miss Su, I’m really glad I have company right now, I’ll be happy to play with him. He’s an adorable ball of sunshine,” I giggled smiling at the boy, he really put me in a good mood. Su gave me a really happy smile then patted her son's head. “Try not to use your quirk on the nice lady okay?” Su smiled at me and Kotaru nodded happily.

I smiled at the boy as he looked over the tall table standing on his tippy toes, “Want some?” I asked, the boy giggled happily and climbed onto my lap. We both ate the tamagoyaki together, I paid for my small lunch then headed back to play with the small child.

For the rest of my afternoon I spent my time playing with him, I took him to a park we found and I got him some ice cream. I was really enjoying my time with him. He made me feel like a kid again, I held his small hand as we walked back to the cafe , his mom was waiting for us there smiling at me. “Mommy mommy we did so many things we even got ice cream, we had so much fun!!” Kotaru said, jumping up and down excitedly.
