Chapter 15: Distractions

Mina did her best to cheer me up the past few days, we went out to eat, went to the Fairgrounds and honestly it helped a lot. I finally managed to forget about him and actually have fun for once. “Hey Y/n me and the girls decided that we should go to the school pool tomorrow, wanna come?” Mina squealed excitedly, I smiled and nodded feeling at ease, “Awesome Yaoyorozu already had gotten permission, this will be so exciting it’s only going to be us girls!” she squealed happily.

The next day we went out to the school pool and met up with the rest of the girls, “Y/n, Mina over here!” Uraraka waved to us, the girls greeted us with smiles. We all changed into our school swimsuits and jumped into the water. It was really refreshing especially when it was really hot out here. We had fun splashing water at each other and playing volleyball in the water, it really helped get my mind off of things, well, that was until I saw Midoriya and the other guys coming.

“Hey guys what are you doing here?” Yaoyorozu asked as she walked up to Midoriya, “We’re here for endurance training. I invited the guys to tag along, I didn’t know you girl were here.” he laughed nervously. He invited all of the guys...So that meant Bakugo was coming too.

It killed the atmosphere here knowing Bakugo was coming, my facial expression went blank when I saw Kirishima dragging in Bakugo, he spotted me and gave an angry glare. The girls shielded me from his line of sight. “I think I’m gonna go home guys,” I got out of the water and grabbed my towel. “Y/n you just got here,” Hagakure whined, “Sorry,” I said and went back into the girls changing room and got into my dry clothes and dried off my (h/c) hair.

“I’ll only get in the way,” I told myself, “He’ll come over or text me when he wants to talk”

Today was the day we would leave for training camp, I finally got up early and took a shower. I got dressed into my uniform and headed out the door with my suitcase in hand. It’s just one week of training, they’ll probably try to work us to death.

I arrived there really early and was surprised to see Ilda and Mr Aizawa waiting for the others as well, “Ah Y/n you made it here very early, as class Rep I gladly enjoy your enthusiasm and punctuality.” he gave me a thumbs up along with a smile. I nodded and smiled and put my suitcase in the storage space under the bus. I went on the bus and took the seat in the back next to the window and fell asleep.

I woke up later finding out that I was sleeping on someone's shoulder and sat up, “You finally awake, I heard you came here really early,” I looked to see Todoroki next me smiling, “Y-yeah,” I replied and blushed when I saw Midoriya asleep with his head on Todoroki’s lap. No wonder Todoroki was in such a good mood, I giggled as I watched Todoroki play with Midoriya’s messy hair as he slept.

The bus came to a stop about 15 minutes later and we arrived at a huge forest area and we were on a small cliff looking down at it. We got off the bus waiting to hear what Aizawa wanted us to do, then out of nowhere two hero’s dressed little cats appeared. They both seemed very lively, they introduced themselves as Pixie-Bob and Ragdoll, “It’s 9:00 right now if you make it by noon you’ll be in time for lunch, we’ll only be cooking for you just for today, now let’s begin!” Pixie-Bob smiled and the whole cliff shook causing us to fall to the bottom.

Only with a few scrapes and bruises I began walking by myself not wanting to socialize or waste any time, in a few moments the ground began to shake and a huge monster made from the earth attacked me, I was getting very agitated right now about this whole training crap. I began turning the monstrous beast into sand until I heard explosions from behind be.

“STAY OUTTA MY WAY!!!” Bakugo shouted angrily and destroyed the beast with his explosions, and even more formed around us. “Dammit, Katsuki, when will you just leave me alone!?” I shouted, my anger making every single Earth dwelling beast burst into sand. I panted knowing I shouldn’t have done that to so many targets. I clenched my fists in anger and frustration, if he wanted me out of his way why the hell would he just not leave me alone. If he wanted to talk about this that’s a different story, he could just talk to me...
