Chapter Seventeen

Lucy's pov

I ran to Jesha first, Jesha knew I was coming at him but he kept chanting the spell but a little faster. Once I reached him I stuck the dagger into his head then I pulled it out and kicked him to the side. Mark came running-- Well limping at me while chanting the spell attempting to finish it hisself. I held him by his Grayish hair and looked him in the eyes. I took the dagger and lodged it into his temple.

Natsu's pov

I watch as Lucy kills both of them. She was ruthless she even looked Mark in the eyes and stabbed him. The gravity magic is lifted off of all of us.. Lucy falls to the ground releasing the bloody dagger from her grip. Her hair covered her eyes so I couldn't see them but I knew she was gonna cry. I wipe the blood off my face and arms.

No it was not my blood..

I make my way over to Lucy and sit next to her, wrapping my arms around her while everyone else circles around us.

"Luce, Don't feel guilty I know you did it for a good reason." I whisper so only she could hear me. Her body trembling makes my arm move slightly she hasn't looked up or moved from the position she was in. Im guessing she was frightened or confused or.. I don't even know my brain hurts from thinking all I know is that Lucy needs me right now and I'm gonna be there for her!

"N-natsu.." Lucy stammers "What is this? What is this game?"

A imaginary lightbulb goes off in my head. I totally forgot she didn't know anything about Jeshas games!

"Ah, long story.." I say rubbing the back of my neck.

Narrators pov

After explaining everything to Lucy. They used the boat to get off the island and go back to magnolia. Everyone greeted them and cheered at there arrival. Erza was sent back there safe and sound but she was pissed at Jeshas cowardliness. Lucy didn't go to the Guild she went straight home not wanting to tell Master about the events that happened.

Lucy laid on her bed staring at the dagger in her hand. She washed off all the blood and.. residue of the bodies. She couldn't get over the fact that she killed 3 people. Even though it was for a good reason the guilt came in waves that emptied out of her eyes. She didn't know what to do with the dagger. She wanted to throw it out but that wouldn't be good enough. She needed to completely destroy it and hopefully.. That would get rid of some memories she would never want to keep.

"I'm sorry Jesha, Mark, and Lenox.." Lucy murmured

"Luce, you don't need to keep apologizing"

Lucy jumps and turn her head, Natsu's standing there with his arms crossed and a serious look on his face. It always surprised her when Natsu was serious; he was always cheerful and childish but it was weird it was like he had this switch that would make him more mature. Somehow that switch was always easy to activate when Lucy was sad or needed his help.

"Natsu, you don't understand I k-k" Lucy couldn't say the word she starts to choke up again making Natsu walk over and sit next to her.

"They were gonna kill us.. All of us! Fairy Tail would be gone! You did the right thing!" Natsu reassured her

"B-but I could've just knocked them out or something! I didn't mean too.. I was just.. so angry at them I never--"

"I never meant to go that far, The look in Marks eyes before it happened they pleaded me for mercy.. I thought I would stop but I did it anyway!" Lucy shouted burying her face into her hands.

Lucy still had the dagger in her lap, she realized then gently picked It up and handed it too Natsu she made eye contact with him "Burn it too ashes"

Natsu picked it up slowly a flashback of him killing himself with it came back giving a fresh reminder. Natsu nodded lighting his hand on fire then placing the dagger on top of it. The dagger immediately started to melt and deform in his hand. After it completely turned to goo, He washed his hands in the bathroom and took his seat next to Lucy.

Lucy was happy that the dagger was gone but it didn't help her guilt at all. She regretted everything that had happened. The ache in her heart stayed and made her breathing shallow. Lucy just wanted to forget everything that happened on Cantrell island but knew that wasn't possible. Her and Natsu sat there in silence none of them wanting to say anything, but there minds screaming at them to talk about the events that happened in the past weeks. All of there friends "deaths" had taken a toll on the two, though they didn't want to admit it.

"Lucy I-I'm sorry that i "killed" myself after Happy "died" that night I don't know what I was thinking." Natsu said finally speaking up

She visually shuttered at the memory "You left me alone, Natsu it was driving me crazy.."

"I know, I'm sorry"

"Please never do that to me again.."

"I won't, Luce" He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close resting his chin on the top of her head "I will never EVER leave you again because-"

He turned her head towards his and leaned in pressing his lips against hers, she was surprised at first but then got into Rythym. They released for air and Natsu finished his sentence

"-Because I love you Lucy Heartfilia"
