The day at the Umbrella Academy residence has been...how would you say...quite uneventful, of course beside the fact that the old man that went by the name Sir Reginald Hargreeves was dead but who would count that as something right? Other than the sudden death of the billionaire the day wasn't different in any way from the ones that were before, yet this day brought some changes along. Pogo, the loyal friend of the deceased man was just walking around the house, he was awaiting the arrival of the Hargreeves children...well, what was left of them at least. He knew they would become. Even if in some cases it would be just so they could ascertain themselves that their adoptive father was really dead. Even if he knew how much pain this place brought to the five people that were left from a once strong group of eight, he still hoped they would stay for at least a while. He has now reached the training hall. Absorbing the reminiscing on the memories he had here. He stared longingly at the spot by the corner of the room in hopes something would change there. But nothing, there still stood just a little table with a small picture frame on it that carried a photo of the beautiful young girl he once knew. Scarlett Hargreeves was the name of the girl whose face was displayed on the small picture. For Reginald known as Number Eight. One of the members of his team of superhero kids. Of course, after the disappearance of Number Five everything went downhill. And that way other two lives of young innocent children were lost because of the old man and his experiments. The chimp just sighed to himself mentally scolding his ape self for thinking sickly about his master that he owed his life to. Yes, Sir Hargreeves wasn't the nicest person on this very planet but he was his only friend. As he was about to leave the training room to go prepare himself for the arrival of the others there was a spark of electricity coming from the direction of the far corner of the room which got his attention. The spark of electricity turned into an electricity tornado that knocked over the table which used to hold the picture frame. The swirling of the tornado started to calm down until it was just a little light that covered someone fallen on the ground. The curiosity got better out of the old chimp as he took a wary step forward only to be met by the sight of the blond girl that he long thought of as dead...
"Pogo?" The girl asked unsurely, the ape butler had surely gained some more years from the last time she saw him.
"Miss Scarlett?" Pogo nodded towards the blond. She sprinted forward engulfing him in a hug. It took him some time to actually comprehend what was happening but after everything was processed in his head he let himself wrap his arms around the small girl. It's been something around seventeen years since he had last seen the girl and she didn't change in slightest. She didn't even age. Her appearance still reflected the same thirteen-year-old girl that he had once seen to disappear in front of their eyes.
"Pogo, what happened? Where's everyone?" Scarlett asked confused when she pulled away, her eyes scanning the room in which she was. She knew it was the training hall but she didn't remember it looking like this?
"You don't remember anything?" He asked, looking sadly at the young girl that stood in front of him looking confused. Scarlett tried fishing out in her memory to think of what happened to her. She suddenly shook her head.
"No...only thing I remember is that...oh my god." And then it clicked. "I was...I couldn't stop it...it hurt so much and I just...How long was I gone?" The girl asked frantically stuttering out her words. She couldn't believe that all that what she thought was happening just inside her head was actually a reality. Pogo sighed not feeling confident in what he was about to say.
"About sixteen years...well, fifteen years ten months and twenty-three days." Scarlett looked at him weirdly after hearing the exact count. "I've been continuing Master Klaus' count for him when he left." Pogo answered Scarlett's questioning look.
"That long huh," The fact that Klaus has been counting up the days since she disappeared hurt her heart. She loved her brother, the two of them had a special bond and they helped each other with the struggles their powers carried. Like the voices of death that were trying to speak to Klaus, Scarlett was there helping him through it and when Scarlett had problems with her power glitches (spontaneously catching on fire). It was a twin bond that helped them calm each other. They could even share their powers when they were holding hands. Something that Reginal figured out.
"Your siblings should be arriving soon," Pogo said helping the girl out of the training hall.
"Did something happen?" She asked confused. All her siblings should be adults now, there is no way they are still living in the Academy so something must have happened if all of them are coming back.
"Your father died last night,"
