Three years later
Isabelle's povIt's three years today since I gave birth to my little bundle of endless laughter and beauty. Adeya makes me a better person honestly. She makes being a mum so easy. I work so hard just so she has the best of everything. It's not been easy, but looking at where I am, I can say it's worth it.
My parents have been here countless number of times to be with their granddaughter, even Mel comes to pay us a visit. Nadia, Jess and Bo have been my pillar of support. My support system is so strong, I wonder what I would've done without them.
Wow! It's been three years already! Here's a little run-through of everything that has happened in the last three years**flashback starts**
Adeya is the most perfect baby. She's so peaceful, she cries when she's hungry or needs to get changed, but aside that she remains active with whatever catches her attention. I decide to use the opportunity to catch up on work.
A few hours of working while checking on my baby and I'm finally done. I'm so glad I got a very efficient personal assistant.
I play with Adeya for a while till she needs to be fed and changed into her onesie pj. She has lots and lots of clothes, my baby is so lucky, she has so many aunties who love her so much grandparents who travel to another continent to be with her. I feel the love and support and sometimes I get teary-eyed. I'm still unable to compromise and reach out to Ray, at least for Adeya's sake. She shouldn't have to grow without her father.**one year later**
I threw Adeya a very fabulous birthday party. Her grandparents were in attendance. I invited my colleagues and their kids. It was really beautiful, my little princess was all smiles. She loves the attention.
Adeya keeps growing very healthy and even more beautiful. She has started walking, it's not perfect but she's almost there. Work has gotten tedious! I had to get a nanny for my baby on days when I have to be at the office.
Jess has been trying so hard to set me up with so many guys. It's not working. Actually I don't care about these guys, most of them just talk about themselves the entire evening or are just boring or creepy. I've honestly tried, but I can't do it anymore. The dating world perhaps is not for me.**2years later**
My baby is two! I don't know how to act, I'm the mother of a two year old. She's sooo smart. She loves meeting people, she's extremely bold it scares me sometimes, she walks into a room and brightens up the entire place.
One day she asked me a question I never knew would come so soon.
Ade:"mama, do I have a papá?"
I:"erm yes Adey you do"
She thinks for a while before asking
Ade:"is he in heaven?"
I:"Omg no baby. He's far away. He's working"
I didn't know a better excuse to come up with.
Her eyes get misty and I don't know what to do
Ade:"he no love me?"
I:"oh Adey! Your papa loves you so much. You'll get to meet him soon, I promise"
Ade:"pwomise?"
She holds out her small pinky finger and I hook mine and smile
I:"it's promise baby. I promise"
She grins and hugs me and places a kiss on my cheek
Ade:"I wove you mama"
I:"I love you more my Adey"
I make it a duty to answer every question she has for me, no matter how irrelevant or
Vague, I ensure I answer them. So she has a better understanding.
I explain everything to her so she understands why she can or cannot do something or whatever it might be.**flashback ends**
