This hurts. But where does it hurt? She no longer had a chest to feel heartache in.
She remembers this cup. It's blue waves and the words "Beach Hair Don't Care." Stamped in gold on both sides. Shells carved into the handle. The "Not Dish Washer Safe" on the bottom she only learned was on there after cleaning it in the dishwasher several times.
She also remembers it was his favorite.
He would use it for anything that could fit it in. Always told her that it was his favorite cause it reminded him of her.
She knows what's going to happen eventually. One day in carelessness the cup will fall off the counter and break beyond what glue can fix. She'll feel terrible but he would've just laughed and say it was "just a cup."
But now it's not just any cup.
The cup is now her.
