Brenna's POV

I practically jumped out of my car before it was even parked, I didn't care, I needed to see Sam.

I just walked in not really caring if anyone was home.

I slammed the door behind me "Sam? Saaam?" I yelled while walked around the first floor.

I quickly ran up to his room.

"Sam? Are you in here? Please be in here!" I cried out.

"Bren, B, I'm in here." I heard faintly.

I rushed over to his bathroom where I heard him speak.

I pushed the door open, I saw Sam sitting on the bathroom floor, cuts up his arms and pills split all over the floor.

At this moment I couldn't breathe.

I fell to my knees in front of him and I grabbed his hands turning them over so I could see his wrists better.

"Oh Sam." I whispered as tears poured from my eyes.

"I'm sorry B. I'm so sorry." he cried with the same tone I used.

"We need to get you to a hospital, come on!" I said and pulled his arm trying to get him to stand.

"It'll be too late." he whispered.

"What? Sam, what is going on, what the hell are you talking about?!" I said raising my voice.

"B I'm so alone, I have nobody. you have Kian and Nash and I have nothing." Sam wiped his tears. "I can't do it anymore."

Sam's eyes slowly fluttered shut as his head fell back into the counter.

"SAM!" I screamed. "SAM WAKE UP!"

"Fuck! Holy shit Sam please wake up."

I fumbled into Sam's room to get my phone and I quickly dialed Kian's number.

I waited, but it kept ringing.

I almost hung up until I heard Kian.

"Babe, I can't talk, I told you I had an important meeting for a college scholarship. I'll see you later."

"But Kian I really need you, it's an emergency." I cried.

"Bren, I love you but can it wait, I really have to go."

He didn't even let me respond, he just hung up.

Tears started to pour out of my eyes.

"God fucking damn it!!"

I dialed 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"It's my friend. he, he..i think he's dead, I don't know, he won't wake up please hurry." I cried into the phone.

"Well track the number on your phone and be there as soon as we can. Try to wake him up. Everything will be fine."

"Thanks, thank you so much!"

I grabbed Sam's arm and pulled him up so that he was leaning on my chest.

I moved him to his bed and began trying to wake him up but nothing was working.

I heard sirens outside and then foot steps coming up the stairs.

"What's his name?" The paramedic asked me.

"Ah, Sam. Samuel John Pottorff."

"Alright Sam, we are going to need you to wake up buddy." the lady said to Sam while they picked him up and laid him onto the stretcher.

I followed the paramedics down the stairs and outside.

"Does he have parents?"

"Yes. Yes. I'll call her."

"Hey Sammy." I whispered grabbing his hand.

"Hi."

"How you feeling?"

"Everything hurts. Um B, thanks for saving me." Sam smiled weakly.

"I would do it again if you needed me to."

"Hopefully you won't have to."

"Hey Sam, remember when I said I'd do that again?"

"Yeah, you literally just said that." he laughed.

"Well, I wouldn't, that was horrible."

"Sorry babe." Sam said and then he kissed my hand that was holding his.

"Bren?" Kian said.

"Kian. I didn't even see you come in." I stumbled out.

"Can I talk to you?" He asked.

"Yeah. Be right back Sammy." I said while tapping his thigh.

"Brenna, we need to talk."
