M.A(Maya Agnews)

"Shit. How many across the border?" I closed the folder holding documents pertaining to most of the safety of the area outside the pack. I had kept getting reports that rogues have been popping up along the border and I thought it was a coincidence but it wasn't.

"So far there are about 20 spread out between the east and the west ma'am. They are doubling in size the more we watch them." I squeezed the bridge of my nose and sighed.

"Why wasn't I informed about this sooner?" The male in front of me lowered his eyes.

"I'm waiting."

"Ma'am, we also didn't know about the rogues until recently when you were informed. It seems as if they were slowly spying on us. They were able to stealthily cross the border and the one that did, as you know was neutralized."

"That doesn't make sense. Rogues don't have intelligence. All know it to kill. And you're telling me that they seem to be giving off intelligence?" He nodded and I shoved the folder into my desk.

"I want people to be lined at the border, two for every rogue. If they attack, kill them. As we know my daughter's mate is human and he has no knowledge of these things so I ask if any of them show up around his area and take them out with caution. Anything happens to him I will deal with you myself. Got it."

"Yes ma'am. I'll start getting the others now." I sat back into my chair and rubbed my face.

"Darling don't worry, I'm sure nothing will happen." I looked up towards Marcus and sighed.

"I really don't understand how they could get passed. They are rogues, they don't have emotion and they can't shift. They're lost in an internal horror because they're mate died and it erases all logic. How can they stealth? Doubling by the day as well?" He placed his hands onto my shoulders and eased some of the tension.

"My love, my love. I think it'll be okay. You only pick the best to fight at our borders and it'll be fixed up in no time. And it is said that some rogues turn back to their natural state and live life normally."

"Yeah, but how many times has that happened? Their only goal is to attack any wolf. No one else because their pain is too great. " He kissed my cheek and turned to be in front of me.

"I know what you're worried about, but I'm sure she'll tell him and then change him soon. Don't worry about her, she's trained well and she is so smart. Takes after her mother you know?" I listened to what he said and nodded.

"You're right, honestly for some reason, I don't like him too much. Maybe it's because he's human but I don't know. I think every mother feels like this." He nodded and gave me a flower he pulled out of god knows where.

"A flower for my darling. It is to reduce stress and help nurture love in the heart." Slowly he flowed out of my office and I sighed with a smile.

"So strange." I cleaned up my office and prepared to go home. I haven't had my phone on me for a while so I want to know what Charlotte was up to today.

I slowly dragged my finger across his chest as he slept and hummed. I didn't want to move because his arm was tightly around me. I Found the same scars on his chest again and traced over them. These didn't seem as terrible about the others, but a scar is still a scar.

"You know that's actually ticklish right?" He smiled with his eyes closed and I folded my arms across his chest."

"Maybe it's just payback then."

"Not very good payback." His hand rubbed my shoulder and he propped his head up with a pillow and exhaled deeply.

"Christ, it smells like sex.'' I started laughing and shook my head. He was right, it did but I smelled literally everything. It wasn't terrible but it was just strong. I sat up and placed my hands onto my knees and he propped himself up against his headboard.
