AP Biology wasn't what Bonnie expected. With Theo sitting next to her, she found herself in a heightened state of anxiety throughout it all. He kept sending little looks her way every so often. Bonnie was tense, she dared not look at him.
She didn't notice how Theo concentrated more on her than he did on the class. He studied her handwriting. He noticed how she sat with one leg over the other, bouncing it when she got nervous. He could tell when she'd get nervous. Her heartbeat quickened everytime he looked at her and it would continue to race for a short time afterwards, until she'd gotten distracted by Mrs Finch. But she wouldn't stay calm for long as Theo would take another glance in her direction and her heart rate would sky rocket again.
Mrs Finch kept asking the class questions, ones that Lydia could answer without even having to think about it. Mrs Finch told the class about a test tomorrow, to basically filter out the weak from the class. The lesson itself dragged and Bonnie was feeling overwhelmed by the end of it. By Theo, and by how hard this class was going to be.
Luckily she and Lydia had a free period afterwards. As soon as the bell rang for the end of class, Bonnie looked at Theo. When his eyes met hers, her breath hitched and she quickly scooped up her things and headed for the door. Theo was left gathering his things quietly, a smirk prominent on his face. Lydia had taken a quick glacé at him as she packed her own bag.
Bonnie packed her bag outside the classroom, waiting for Lydia to come out. Once Lydia did, she grabbed Bonnie's arm and pulled her away from the class.
"Did you ask him?" Lydia asked, her eyes full of hope. Bonnie scoffed at her cousin. Forcing the feeling of butterflies in her stomach away with the thought of AP Biology.
"Never mind that, Lydia, why the hell am I in that class?" She questioned, "There is no way I am going to pass that, it's not like I've been in school for the past 4 years learning like everybody else!"
"Oh, you're smarter than you know." Lydia stated seriously, "And we're going to study! You won't find a better person to tutor you." Lydia couldn't help but get annoyed with her cousin. All Bonnie had to do was try.
Bonnie felt a bit better, but still felt completely overwhelmed. She wouldn't be surprised that if in two weeks time she dropped AP Biology. The two began walking down the corridor when they noticed a brown haired girl standing at a locker, staring down the hall, hyperventilating, like she was having some kind of hallucination. Immediately Lydia approached her.
"Tracy?" She asked, when Tracy didn't snap out of it, she asked again and placed her hand on her arm. Tracy gasped as came back down to earth, looking around her frantically. "Are you alright?"
Tracy didn't answer and continued to look around, it was clear that she was frightened. "Why don't we go outside?" Tracy nodded and walked with Lydia. Lydia sent Bonnie a look which said not to follow. Bonnie sent a small nod, and walked off in the other direction, not having a clue where to go, other than where she went last night for senior scribe.
Bonnie entered the library, and instantly regretted her decision when she noticed Scott, Kira and Malia sitting at a table. Scott noticed her and waved her over with a big smile. Kira was also very welcoming but Malia still looked very angry. She walked over to the table and sat down.
"How's your first day going?" Kira asked, leaning in slightly.
"It's been pretty daunting so far, AP Biology is definitely not for me." Bonnie answered. Malia leaned forward and narrowed her eyes at her, causing all three of the students to look at her strangely.
"I know you from somewhere." Malia said suspiciously.
"Eichen House?" Bonnie asked, that's the only place she'd been for the past 4 years. Malia's features softened as it clicked.
