Kira took Bonnie to the library, where Scott arrived some time later.
"Did you tell Bonnie about what Deaton found out last night?" Scott asked Kira as he sat down at the table with them. Kira shook her head just as Bonnie did.
"No, we've just been studying." Kira told him. Scott nodded then turned to Bonnie.
"Tracy had the claws of a werewolf but bared the scales and venom of a kanima. She was able to cross mountain ash which no supernatural creature can do." Scott told her.
"So she wasn't supernatural?" Bonnie asked, "Is that even possible?"
"It seems so. It shouldn't be, but those people, whoever they are are making supernatural creatures by somehow managing to blur the lines between science and the supernatural." He explained.
"What?" Bonnie asked, shocked to the core. "How are they doing that?"
"We don't know, but Liam has found a couple of holes out in the woods. We think that burying them is part of the process." He answered. Bonnie felt a shiver run down her spine.
"That's terrifying." She answered taking a deep breath.
Stiles and Malia joined the group.
"We've brought the bestiary." Malia said slamming the big book on the table.
"Anything in here about half-werewolves, half-kanimas?" Kira asked.
"The Chimera." Scott told her, "Look for that."
"Uh, what?" Stiles asked his friend.
"Chimera. It's a creature made of incongruous parts. And if Liam said he found two burial sights that means that Tracy's not the only one." He answered.
"Who's the second Chimera?" Kira asked.
"It could be anybody.." Bonnie whispered, looking around the library at all the people around them.
"Why would they bury them?" Stiles asked.
"Deaton thinks it's part of their process." Scott informed him.
"The people in masks." Malia said, her eyes locking with Bonnie's.
Bonnie had to get the rest of her classes after lunch, leaving the other four in the library. Kira promised to text her if they found out anything more.
At the end of a very boring day, after Bonnie spread the word that the party was pushed back to next weekend, Bonnie walked to Theo's truck. He stood, leaning against the hood, his arms crossed against his chest, smiling at her as she approached him.
"Good day?" He asked her, making her scoff.
"I hate school." She answered, "It's such a waste of time."
"Thought you said you needed an education." He reminded her. She stood beside him.
"I take that back. There's jobs you don't need high grades for." She answered, sighing. "Did you have a good day?"
"Eh." He shrugged, "I missed AP Biology when it was over."
"What? Why?" Bonnie asked, scrunching up her nose and then he took her by surprise.
"Because in AP Biology, you're in the seat next to me." He admitted, making her blush.
"Will you quit trying to make me blush!" She ordered but Theo only chuckled.
"I like it when you go as red as a tomato, but I'm not trying to make you blush. I'm being honest." He stated as he unfolded his arms from across his chest and walked around to the drivers side of his truck. Bonnie did the same but with the passenger side. She didn't know what to say to him. When Bonnie closed the door, she felt her phone buzz.
