Bonnie was surprised about many things. Her thoughts ran wild. Theo had saved Lydia's life and she was eternally grateful but when she saw him down in that basement, her heart skipped a beat. It was a game changer in her eyes, the rush she felt when his worried eyes beamed down into hers and how her skin felt like electric currents ran through it when he touched her face. When he took her into his arms and held her tight, she felt safe. She already longed to feel it all again.
Theo cleared his throat, drawing Bonnie out of her thoughts.
"Sorry?" She asked, realising that Theo had been speaking to her and she hadn't listened to a word of it. He chuckled lightly.
"How are you getting home?" He asked again, worried about her wellbeing.
"I was going to call an Uber. I don't feel like walking home right now." She answered. Reaching for her phone in her bag. "I'm already going to have to walk to school tomorrow morning."
"Getting an Uber is a good idea. But if you want, I can drive you to school tomorrow..." He suggested, Bonnie sighed.
"You really don't have to, I don't want to be a burden-" She began to protest, but Theo stopped, grabbed her arm and pulled her round to face him. Bonnie felt intimidated by his intense stare.
"Don't say things like that." He stated, annoyance in his voice. "You're not a burden and never will be, stop being difficult and let me take you to school tomorrow morning."
Bonnie's mouth opened with shock, she closed it again quickly, not knowing what to say. She nodded slowly, watching Theo smile at her.
"There. That wasn't so hard now, was it?" He asked, rubbing her arm. "Are you going to be alright at home tonight by yourself? I'm assuming your auntie will be staying here with Lydia."
Bonnie took a deep breath, not even realising that she would be in her house alone. Theo could see that the thought hadn't even crossed her mind by the way she tensed up, her saddened eyes filling with worry.
"Don't panic, I'll stay with you..." Theo told her, making her eyebrows furrow. '
"A-at my house?" Bonnie asked.
"Yeah, we don't have to share the same bed or anything, I'll take the floor. I just don't want you to be scared." He informed her sincerely. Bonnie's tensed shoulders relaxed.
"But how will we get to school tomorrow? Your car is at your house." Bonnie reminded him, he let out a light laugh and slowly leaned in closer to her so his mouth was beside her ear.
"I'm a werewolf, remember." He whispered making her shudder as his hot breath fanned against her ear. Bonnie couldn't help but laugh as he pulled away. " I can leave now, go get my truck and meet you back at your house before you even get home."
"Really?" She asked, opening up her phone and looking at her Uber app. "Is that a challenge? I can get an uber to pick me up in 10 minutes, then it's a 20 minute drive to my house from here. Do you think you can meet me at mine in half an hour?"
"Challenge accepted." He stated, raising his eyebrows and leaning a little closer to her. Bonnie slowly trailed her finger down Theo's chest, only just managing to hide her surprise when she felt how defined his muscles were. She clicked her tongue and smiled devilishly at him.
"Well, Theo Raeken, you have 29 minutes left." She told him, making him smirk and take a few steps to the side. He pointed at her.
"Text me your address, I'll see you soon."
She watched as Theo left down the corridor in a light jog, when he was out of sight she ordered her Uber and began walking towards the exit to the hospital.
