Cameron's POV

My heart hurt thinking about my aunt. And my eyes wanted to cry but I just couldn't

Why did this have to happen?

After loading all my luggage into my car I started the car and drove away in the direction I came here.

Goodbye Arizona, we may probably never meet again

-

The sun was starting to set and my mind was blank. All I did was focus on driving back home. I reached my neighborhood and rode into my street.

I quickly pulled into the driveway and parked my car

I grabbed my keys and bags of food and ran to the door, purposely leaving my luggage behind. I fumbled with the keys looking for the right one.

Once I found it I opened the door and ran to the house phone to hear the voicemail. I'm sure they called to let me know which hospital Aunt May was staying at.

I pressed the Button then listened carefully

"Hello this is the chino hills local hospital calling to tell you that Maybel Dallas is staying here. Visiting hours are only from 11:00am through 8:30pm. Thank you and have a nice day"

I believe I know where chino hills hospital is. I went there when I fell off my dirt bike a couple years ago.

I quickly ran back out the door and hopped back into my car driving to the hospital

I just hope she okay. She just has to be.

-

I finally reached the hospital which was closer than I remembered

I ran out locking my car doors with the key

I burst through the door to the quiet and calm hospital

Police where on the side talking

Other people were sitting in the waiting room looking rather stressed

I walked to the front desk

"Excuse me do you know what room Maybel Dallas is in?" I asked

"I'll have to look it up. But before you go, i need you to fill out this form and show me ID as well"

I sighed and quickly filled out the paper along with giving her my ID.

She looked at my ID and handed it back to me. She looked over the form

"Alright she is in room B12 on the second floor, out the elevator on the right"

"Thank you" I said walking quickly to the elevator

I pressed it to go to the second floor once inside and waited impatiently for it to stop

Once the door opened, I ran down the hall to room 12

The door was a crack open and I peeked inside

"Aunt may..." I said in a whisper

My heart shattered

I walked into the room and saw her pale face. Her eyes were shut closed and she was breathing steadily

Machines were connected to her and she had a cast on her arm and left leg. I'm guessing that's where he shot her

"Shit" I mumbled

I shouldn't have left her alone. It was so selfish of me

I held loosely onto her hand. Her eyes slowly opened up

"Cameron..." She said

Her heart started to beat faster

"I'm so sorry this happened to you in shouldn't have left you" I said feeling a lump in my throat

"Shh shh... Its okay. I love you" she muttered out

I tear finally rolled down my eye

"I love you too" I said

Her heart pace slowed down again

Flashbacks came to my mind of this same exact situation, except with my mom.

I remember holding onto her hand just as I'm doing with my aunt now. Except she couldn't speak. She was hurt so badly from the car accident. Then Her heart slowed down  then stopped. At the time I didn't quite understand what was happening. Doctors came in gathering around her. A nurse held my hand and took m out of the room

"She's gonna be okay." She said giving me a reassuring smile

But she was wrong

Now the tears were running down my face, and they weren't stopping
