Emma's POV

Hours upon hours of driving. We finally arrived back in Arizona. We drove down to our house and it surprisingly looked better than how it was when I left.

I grabbed my bags from the back and walked to the door with my mother.

She used the keys to open it. I stepped inside and was amazed. I looked around.

"Are you sure this is our house?!" I said smiling

"Yes!" she said laughing at me

The walls were painted, we had nice furniture, and everything was neat. An actual place I can call home.

"So?" she said

"Its amazing!!" I yelled

I ran to hug my mom.

I said something that I haven't said in who knows how many years.

"I love you mom."

"I love you too Emma"

Cameron's POV

After looking around every possible place she could be, I gave up.

I drove home for the final time. I went inside and started to go to my room.

"Cameron! Come here" my aunt said

I turned around and went to the living room.

"Yes?" I said sitting on the couch.

"Emma left. She's gone."

"What?!" I said standing up

"Her mom came to get her. She's doing much better and Emma really wanted to be with her. So she took her items and went home." I was speechless.

I sat on the couch with my hands in my face.

The one person that I truly loved and cared about it gone. And I'll probably never see her again.

I went to the bathroom to shower. I had too much on my mind and a warm shower would help me.

I showered for about 30 minutes trying to get Emma off my mind. It didn't work.

I decided to sleep it off. I got out the shower and dried myself and put clothes on.

"I'm going to bed" I told my aunt as I was drying my hair with a towel.

"No dinner?" she asked surprised

"I'm not hungry.

"Okay... Goodnight"

"goodnight"

I walked to my room and laid face down in my bed

Soon, I fell asleep

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up happy but something felt wrong.

Emma. Gone.

Everything started to come back to me. It kinda felt unreal how she was just gone like that. I need to see her again. Even tough I wont be able t see her every single day like I used to, I want to set things straight between us. I love her, i don't want her to think I ignored her voicemail. I tried to help her the best i could and now she left.

It feels like a part of me was missing. And the worst thing is I loved her so much. I don't think she realized how badly I loved her. I miss her already. Her smile, the way her hair flowed in the wind when we took walks. Her laughs. And just the positivity that came with her presence. And now all of that is gone.

Her mom finding her is what we feared the most. But she hates me so I guess her being with her mom was the only place she could go. I didn't even get to say goodbye.

I felt like crying but I was too strong for that. I can't just let this happen. I have to get Emma back. Even if she hates me, I need to tell her how much she means to me. I don't want our story together just to end abruptly.

I dragged myself out of bed and showered for about 5 minutes. I slowly dressed myself afterwards. I walked down the stairs to see my aunt in the kitchen cooking.

"Good morning" I said in a glum tone

"Good morning Cam! How are you feeling?" She asked

I took at seat at the table.

"Horrible. Mad. Confused. Also hurt"

She came over and hugged me.

"I'm sorry hun. Is there anything I could do to make you feel better?"

I thought for a moment.

"No. Nothing will cure my sadness at this point. Except for... Emma"

She put a bowl of eggs and bacon in front of me with juice

"How about you go and see her?" She suggested

"I don't know where she is. And she probably won't even wanna see me anyways."

"She's in Arizona. She left her address on a paper in case I ever wanted to visit her. And you'll never ever know whether she hates you or loves you unless you ask her" she said

My face like up

I smiled a bit

"Can I go after breakfast??" I asked

"Sure! But take some stuff with you. Who knows how long you'll end up staying there." She said and laughed a bit

I chuckled

I quickly ate my breakfast. When I was done, I ran up to my room and put my shoes on. I got a suitcase from my closet and threw a couple clothes in there.

I dragged it downstairs and ran for the door. I also took the paper of Emma's address.

"Wait!" My aunt yelled

I turn to her

"You forgot your phone" she said laughing and handing it to me

I laughed and took it from her

"Thanks" I smiled

"Be safe Cam!"

"Okay! Love you" I yeller as I closed the door

I loaded my stuff into the car and started it. I used my GPS to help me find exactly where she was.

This was the beginning of a long journey.
