"What?"

To say, his words shocked Hera was an understatement. It terrified her. Baekhyun actually asked her about the word 'Love' which she hadn't used in a long time. "Do you... Do you love me?" her voice was hopeful as well as fearful.

"I don't know or maybe I do. I don't know," Baekhyun shrugged. "What do you think?"

Hera gulped. "Well, it's your feelings. Do tell me when you're sure about it," she attempted to walk around him, but his fingers gripped her elbow refusing her to move.

"Do you love me, Hera?"

His actions were not startling and she knew her odd behavior would have him searching for many answers. "I... I... You..." she gulped.

"Do you think I love you, Hera?" he threw another question.

The thing was, Hera didn't want to give answers. She didn't want to talk about what had just happened or what was even going on in her head. She didn't want to pick apart the different compartments of her heart that held every emotion she felt for him and everything else. Today was supposed to be a normal christmas night with her family, but Baekhyun's unexpected questions actually scared her to even think. It felt surreal.

"I think..."

"What do you think?" Baekhyun asked her again. "About you, me... Us?"

"What do I think? You are not serious. Are you?" She asked in disbelief. "Look, I know that I have feelings for you, but you're playing with my heart. You've to know about your feelings, and I can't do that for you."

"I want to see this relationship going somewhere, but you don't listen to me. You don't respect my decisions," Baekhyun threw his hands up. "So, here is the thing, you will listen to my orders, and I will give us a chance."

"I know you're protecting me, but you can't protect me from everything. You can't prevent how I feel about this," Hera exclaimed.

"And how do you feel?" He asked. His tone was smooth.

"I don't know," Hera slapped her arms to her side and her shoulders sagged. "I'm scared, afraid, confused all of the above. I don't know what I'm doing. This wasn't supposed to happen."
