Peter's POV:
The ground shook and moved beneath us like waves I heard something crack like an amplified version of a gunshot and the classroom split in two a three inch crack snaking across the floor like some sort of monsterous tentacle. After what seemed like an eternity the shaking stopped and after a long silence our teacher began ushering us to the door. I nodded to Ned and made a break for it I had to make sure everyone was out of the building. I quickly changed and then began to pull students and teachers from the building starting with the top levels and making my way down. At last only one floor remained. The basement. I made my way down the collapsed stair case and found three boys who had been working in the shop with the teacher. I got them out one at a time and then went deeper into the basement. It was the most dangerous down here, the supports around me bearing the entire weight of the collapsed school building. Then I noticed the crack. The crack was wider down here, instead of three inches across it was now at least 6 feet across and at least 20 feet deep. I carefully went to the edge and stared down, I couldn't hear anyone, and the crack was in the far side of the shop. No one should have been here. I started to back away when I noticed something catching the sunlight coming through the smashed window across the room. I lowered myself down to it and found something cold and hard. It was massive, and it appeared to be made of frozen water and crystal, the strange thing about it though was the fact that about half a foot deep into its cold slightly cloudy surface, I could see a hand. A human hand. I bit my lip looking around me at the collapsed earth I couldn't uncover more of it without making the hole bigger, but I could see both a leg and part of the arm belonging to the hand. I didn't know if they were still alive, but if it was anything like Captain America it was a possibility. I chewed on my lip then told Karen to call Mr. Stark. A few moments later he answered.
"I just saw the news, are you ok kid!"
I smiled slightly and laughed nervously.
"Yea I'm ok Mr. Stark, but I found someone and their definitely not ok. I could use your help with this one. It looks like whoever they are is frozen."
Within the hour Mr. Stark arrived and helped me carefully dig out the ice capsule. It was vaguely oval shaped, with several sharp protrusions. Inside was a boy dressed in an orange shirt and jeans. We couldn't see much else because the ice and crystal was so cloudy. I followed Mr. Stark back to the tower and followed him down to the lab. He immediately had Friday begin to thaw the boy. The chunks of crystal fell away as the ice turned to water, and slowly we began to get a better look at the boy. He didn't look much older then me, but he had a fairly large scar across the side of his face and several smaller ones on his neck and arms. He had messy black hair that strangely seemed to be completely dry and it framed a sharp jaw and strong nose with thick eyebrows over the eyes. His skin was tan and as Friday continued to melt away the ice, his chest suddenly spasmed and he drew in breathe. His eyes opened wide and he sat straight up his eyes wild. The water all around us rose and then fell with a splash before rising again and swirling around the boy. Mr. Stark and I backed up, I activated taser webs and Mr. Stark fired up his blasters. We stood like that and Mr. Stark spoke.
"Hey kid we don't want to hurt you, but we will if you don't put the water down."
The boys gaze had followed us as we backed away, but now he blinked and shook his head as if in a daze. He stared at us in confusion his eyes seeming to focus on us for the first time. He swayed slightly and then fell off the table with the water splashing to the ground all around him. He wasn't wet not a drop of water on him, but he was unconscious. Tony carefully picked him up and took him up to one of the medi bay beds. He laid the boy in the bed and had me help attach restraints around his wrists and ankles before placing a blanket over him. Then he sent the suit back to its storage unit. He gestured for me to follow him and I followed him up the stairs and to his office. He pulled up a screen in the air and began to call several numbers. Soon all the avengers had answered his call. Natasha was the first to speak.
"Why are you calling us Tony?"
Mr. Stark pulled up a picture Friday had taken of the boy and then played the video of us melting the ice around him, as well as the boys strange powers when he woke up. The avengers were silent while watching, and when Mr. Stark turned off the video he spoke his voice calm.
"I called, because I wanted to know if any of you know who the hell this kid is?! Moments after coming out of complete stasis, his body was able to function enough for him to violently react to those around him both physically and with powers. Now may I remind you that when Cap woke up it took multiple weeks before he was able to get up much less violently interact with those around him. Basically this kid is freaking me out, and I'm wondering if any of you have a good explanation for what just happened?"
So here's chapter one. I hope you guys enjoyed it so far, tell me in the comments what you think is going to happen next! See you next time! Fly High!
