Percy's POV:

Honestly what was with me and explosions today. Like seriously! This is so not my day, I mean come on you'd think the gods and monsters would give me a break since my life has been so sucky lately, but nope they just had to pull out all the stops to give me a nice welcome home present. I sighed and drew Riptide and began storming in the direction of the explosion, the newer campers, and even some of the ones I knew, seemed kinda scared of me. Probably because my expression said I was gonna kill anything within range. I heard one of the newer campers whisper to one of the Stoll Brothers as I went past.

"Is he insane that thing will destroy him! That explosion was huge, he needs more help!"

Conner laughed out loud and I just heard him reply as I got out of range.

"Oh he can more than handle it, heck whatever made that explosion is the thing that needs help. When Percy's like that, the guy can take out an army, and I mean that literally. He has literally taken out multiple armies on his own before and won."

Before the camper could respond I was already halfway up the hill. There at the top were a couple dozen fire breathing chimera's and honestly there were a few more of them than I'd usually take on, on my own, but I was so pissed I didn't care."

I stormed down the hill summoning water from the defenses we had repaired from the last battle with Gaea. I yelled at the Chimera's, my blood boiling in my veins.

"I get it ok!!! I've been up for two days! TWO DAYS! And everyone wants a piece of me! So you asked for it, NOW COME AND GET IT!"

The chimera's honestly looked surprised and more then one looked a little frightened. I let out a scream of rage and proceeded to throw a massive wave of water at them, about seven of them just flat out disintegrated on impact, and the others now looked like drowned kittens. I had five left to deal with now and I made short work of them. I gathered the water back around me in my own miniature hurricane (a trick I learned a while back) and slashed them to pieces with Riptide before they could recover. Breathing angrily I stormed back up the hill toward a massive group of shocked campers. Even Conner looked a little taken aback despite what he'd said earlier. I stormed through them and toward Chiron, Mrs. O'leary and Annabeth. Honestly couldn't I have one good moment! I had just gotten back to camp. I swung onto Mrs. O'leary and pulled Annabeth up behind me. I finally took a deep breath and looked at Chiron.

"Sorry about that, I really would love to stay and catch up, but I promised mom I'd be home for dinner, and at the rate I'm going I'm going to miss it entirely, so I better hurry it up. I'll be back tomorrow and you can tell me what's been going on then."

With that I whispered into Mrs. O'leary's ear and we vanished into the shadows.
