"What do you want. Make it fast because I'm busy"

"I want to make you a deal"

"Haha..What kind of deal can you offer me Jade?"

"One that will interest us both"

"Hm..Okay you have my attention"

"I want to see my Father. In exchange I'll submit to being the Wife you so eagerly want me to be in front of the public eye"

"Mm..I have a better deal"

"Like what??"

"You come with me to a business trip willingly and I will let you see your Father before we leave"

"No!"

"Then there's no deal. You can go back inside your room now"

"Cedric please! I want to see him!"

"Then accept the deal I'm offering you"

I turned away from him but before leaving I stopped to think. It had been three long years since the last time I heard my Fathers voice or seen his beautiful dark brown eyes. I needed to forget about my pride and accept Cedrics terms. Otherwise I wouldn't see him anytime soon. There was nothing more I needed then to feel my Fathers arms around me.

"I'll accept to go to that business trip with one condition"

"I thought-"

"Let me finish! I'll go with you but I want to stay by my Fathers side from this day until we have to leave"

"No. I don't agree"

I dropped to my knees in front of him and grabbed his hands. "Cedric I have never gotten down on my knees to beg anyone. Please don't humiliate me". As tears rolled down my face his stare towards me had suddenly changed. He looked at me with pity I would say. Though I felt as if maybe deep down he had a soft spot I wasn't aware off until now.

He saw that I noticed the sweet way he was looking at me and immediately pushed me away. I tumbled back he then spoke in a serious tone "The trip is in five days. My men will be watching over you so don't get any ideas of doing anything stupid". I stood up and walked towards the door. Before leaving I turned to him and asked "How long is the trip?". He gave me a smirk and replied "Why? Is my Wifey already regretting our deal?" "You have my word. I'll go. I just want to see my Father". He then served himself a glass of whiskey and replied "Five months. Now leave".

Five months didn't compare to all the years ahead I still had to spend by his side. It was torture maybe even a cruel punishment the universe was sending me. Whatever it was I was alone in this. It was my condemnation and I had to deal with the painful sentence. I finished packing and headed directly to the car without thinking of saying goodbye. Once inside I looked up and saw Cedric standing by his bedroom window gazing upon me. He then closed the curtains of his window and the Chauffeur began to drive. I'd be gone only five days but it was a glimpse of that freedom I had given up. Freedom from an irritating wicked man that I would never have again.

After a short peaceful ride there was sudden flickering lights that were coming from a car behind us. "Who the hell is that?" I said as the Chauffeur quickly took his phone out. "Sir. I'm being followed" he nervously explained to Cedric I assumed. Just then the car behind us raced ahead of us and began to slow down forcing us to stop. However the panic words of the Chauffeur alarmed me. "I can't stop! The brakes don't work!". The car in front of us hit another car causing the Chauffeur to lose control.
