"Daddy I've missed you so much!"
"Jade..My beautiful daughter"
"I'm here to stay Dad..I promise"
"Jade. You shouldn't be making empty promises..It's not right" Cedric grabbed me by the arm and pulled me away from my Father. I shot a confused stare at him while my Father asked him to leave us alone for a moment. I couldn't believe it! He promised that I would be able to see my Father. I also thought that would mean moving back home. Unfortunately I was wrong.
"Whatever you need to say to my Wife you could say it in front of me Mr. Carter..Isn't that right Jade?"
"Cedric please I just want a moment alone with my daughter"
"Daddy don't make this anymore difficult on yourself you aren't in any condition to go through a hard time..Don't you agree Cedric?"
"That's right. So we will be visiting you another time when you seem a bit healthier"
"W-wait..Cedric wait it's too soon to leave" I pleaded but he wasn't listening to me. He leaned towards my ear and quietly whispered "I will drag you out of this house in front of everyone who lives here if you don't come with me". I pretended to smile and gave my Father one last hug.
"I'm sorry Daddy but Cedric is right. You don't look very well to be doing so much talking..How about I come visit you soon?"
"But-"
"Well it was nice seeing you again Mr. Carter you take care and continue drinking your medication..Which I am gladly paying for..See you soon". He forcibly grabbed me by the arm and took me out of the room. "Get your hand off me!" I angrily shouted at him as I pushed him away. Suddenly a voice coming from the end of the hall interrupted us. "Jade!? You didn't tell me you were back!?" Josh excitedly ran towards me as Cedric immediately stood in front of me.
"Should I remind you that your sister is no longer a single lady? She's a married woman now and as such you need to learn some boundaries and keep distance from her..Understood?"
"What the hell? It's me Cedric? What's gotten into you?..Wait is this a joke?" Josh asked with a playful smile. Suddenly Cedric grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him against the wall. Being taller than Josh and much stronger my brother couldn't pull away from Cedrics tough grip.
"You still think this is a joke?" I immediately grabbed Cedrics arm and pleaded for him to let go of Josh.
"Hey take it easy! I'm her brother! You can't order me to stay away from her!?"
"Jade say bye to your lovely brother. We're leaving"
"Jade! What's going on!? Has he hurt you!?"
"Josh please..Just stay away..I'll come see you guys soon I promise"
"Jade! Divorce that psycho before you end up dead you hear me!?"
Cedric turned around once more and shot a cold glance at Josh. While tightly holding onto my hand he said "She will end up dead if she ever leaves me". My heart dropped knowing that he meant every word he said.
