"So are you nervous? One more day and then she finally gives you an answer"
"There is something about Jade that has changed towards me. I can feel it"
"Hmm..So you're confident that she will choose you?"
"I didn't give her any other option"
"Cedric..If she were to ask you for her freedom instead. Would you divorce her? I mean think about it..She has dropped her guard around you now which is good but what if it isn't love? But hope instead that pushed her to accept you?"
"Hope? For her freedom?"
"What if she seeks that? She truly thinks you've changed"
"And I have Chase..I haven't touched her. You have any idea how hard that has been for me?? Her sweet rose petal scent has invaded the entire Mansion. Everywhere I go I smell her. She leaves with her friend at times and all I could think about is chasing after her throwing her over my shoulder and locking her up inside so she can stay with me instead. But I stop myself. Every time I just stop. Because I hope..I wish..I want her to choose me at the end. Willingly"
"Which is why I'm asking Cedric. If she were to choose her freedom over you would you give it to her?"
"I...I don't know"
"Wow..Well that's a change..Now I can believe you really have fallen in love with her"
"Chase you don't have the slightest clue of how much I love her. If you knew what I know..You would be shocked that I haven't done anything"
"What are you talking about buddy?"
"Forget it. Just never doubt the great love I feel for Jade. She's my life".

*Couple Hours Later*
"Jade are you ready?"
"Almost but the stupid zipper got stuck!"
"Let me help"
"No!! It's okay I got it"
(CEDRIC'S P.O.V)
I opened the door to her bedroom and saw her standing by the mirror trying to reach to a zipper that was mid-down her waist. "I told you not to come in! I got it!" She sounded annoyed but also stressed.
I would be too if I had to go see my distasteful Step Mother. There was no way of postponing the dinner with the Carter's. Well if it was up to me I would blow them off but Jade in the other hand insisted we go. According to Leon our presence was expected there. It was a dinner that held an important announcement.
Standing closely behind Jade I fixed the zipper from her elegant royal blue dress. As always she looked gorgeous. I pulled the zipper up while my finger aroused the back of her soft delicate skin. Her body shivered under my light touch.
She stood still without making any noise. I was expecting her to yell at me or pull away as usual but she just stood there waiting..waiting for my next move. Was she testing me? I glanced at her face and noticed her eyes were glued onto me.
