Hi everyone, so COVID hit my family really badly and most of the time I really didn't have any motivation to do anything at all but writing the story really helped me deal with certain truths I had to face about what is happening right now . I hope you enjoy and I hope everyone is safe.

Jace's POV

I cant believe how quickly she moved on. Maybe Steve is right and she is a slut. I swear to God, I'm going to get revenge for this. She thinks she can just treat me like some pawn, some practice dummy. Does she not know how much she meant to me. How sincere I was this entire time? I'm going to crush her.

You're not thinking clearly, obviously. You already hurt her, you already crushed her, this is on you bro not her. You told her straight to her face that she was nothing to you. How do you think that felt? She was the pawn. Not you.

I dont care. She should have been able to figure it out. Now she is just fucking with me. She gets this new random guy and suddenly they are a thing. Steve is right she needs to be hurt. She's forgotten her place and I almost did too.

It's funny, love and hatred share the same heat, they share the same feeling, it's almost as if they are the same emotion just applied differently. And there is no mistaken, what I feel right now is hatred.

They may be two sides of the same coin but my coin must be weighted because each flip is showing the same side: hate.

Emma's POV

The week flew by in what felt like seconds. I got to celebrate Chris' birthday with him which wasn't very eventful but incredibly fun, anything we do together is fun. After his birthday came and went the days flew by. Before I knew it, it was starting to get cold as fall had officially made itself known and my mother was packing for her annual girls trip. Her and Jace's mom were going on a two week vacation to some island like they do every year. I have decided it was best to withhold some of the information about me and Jace from my mother as well as the information about Chris and I, it's not lying per say it's just easier and more efficient this way. Everything will have it's time to come out, but when she is getting pumped for her vacation is not the right time. It is next week and she couldn't wait for it! Why would I bum her out?
