Chapter Seven: Tea

~(Y/n)'s POV~

You closed the door to your apartment and let out a sigh.
"Oh, sweet Kami, I am exhausted..." You heaved, plopping down onto the couch. You glance around your apartment. It was mostly empty and the only things left were the couch where you had been sleeping, a few articles of clothing, and your shower supplies. Speaking of shower, you raised an arm and sniffed.

You recoiled away from the rank smell, and peeled yourself off the couch, and towards the bathroom. You quickly washed up, and got into pjs. You laid back down on the couch, and let out a yawn. You pulled out your phone and texted Suki.

(Y/n); Hey Suki, just wanted to thank you for holding onto my stuff for me
Suki; No problem

You watched as the little dots loaded as she wrote another text.

Suki; Oh, and Arty says that house you were looking at is yours, and you can move in whenever you want
(Y/n); Oh sweet! That lines up perfectly
Suki; If you want, I can come by your place after the tournament and pick up the last of your stuff. You can stay with us for the night, and then us and the guys can help you move in. If you want
(Y/n); Yeah! That'd be a big help. Thank you so much, again, Suki!
Suki; You're welcome, (Y/n), now get some sleep, you've got a big day tomorrow
(Y/n); See ya tomorrow

You turned off the lights, and slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep.

✩~ENTER DREAM VOID~✩

You slowly blinked your eyes open, and were greeted by the familiar soft black glow of Void, and the tingly warmth encased your limbs. You glanced around, looking for the pink deity.
"Navi-Sama? Hello?" You crossed your arms in thought, and you found yourself floating aimlessly through the Void. 'I wonder where she went. Did she forget or something? Or is she at a meeting with the gods or something?'

You were so lost in thought, you didn't realize you had gravity again, until your feet were on the ground. You glanced around, and spotted Navi-Sama's pink glow a little ways away. You shrugged, and started walking towards her. As you got closer, you could hear laughter, and you noticed a shorter figure sitting next to her.
"—what do you call a snobbish criminal going down the stairs?"
"I don't know. What?"

"A condescending con descending!" More laughter ensued and you finally saw who she was talking with. It was a short, round, blue man, in black robes, wearing a hat and glasses. Navi-Samoa's laughter died down, and she turned to look in your direction.
"Ah! (Y/n), you are here! Come, come, sit with us."

You raised an eyebrow, and watched as another chair magically appeared for you. You took a seat and glanced at the man.
"Kai, this is my pupil, (Y/n), that I was telling you about. (Y/n), this is my very good friend King Kai, the North Kai." He stuck out his hand, and you reached out to shake it. You sat up straight in your seat as a shock ran through your system.

King Kai pulled away, laughing, and you caught sight of a shock buzzer on his hand. You gave a hearty laugh.
"That was a good one!" You turned to the pink deity, "I like him." Navi-Sama nodded, smiling at you.
"Would you like some tea, (Y/n)?"

You nod.
"(favorite tea), please." You watched in awe as a cup magically appeared on the table in front of you. You said your thanks, and picked it up, taking a sip.
"Hmmm, this is good." You hum, relaxing in your seat.

"So, you are fighting in the tournament tomorrow?" King Kai asked, taking a sip of his drink. You nod.
"Yeah, me and a couple of my friends are doing it." The blue man smiled at you.
"A few of my students are going to be fighting in it as well."
