I gripped my arms tightly around me, nails digging into my forearms after I stepped out of the car that Stark had lent me. I walked next to Thor as he held Loki tightly by the arm. Loki was handcuffed and muzzled, preventing him from trying anything at all.

"So, this is it?" I said to him.

"For now...but I promise you, Asgard are working to repair the Bifrost. This won't be the last time you see me, Lady Selene." He smiled down at me.

"I sure hope so," I replied, a soft smile on my face.

I slowed my walk as Thor and Loki walked into the middle of a circular design on the ground to get back to Asgard using the Tesseract.

I watched with my arms crossed as Dr Selvig and Banner placed the Tesseract into a glass tube and gave it to Thor. He gives Loki the other end, who reluctantly takes it. He looked back at us all, his eyes lingering on mine for a second then in one great leap, they disappeared into an energy beam.

I stepped back, letting out a shuddering breath and turned back to look at the rest of the team. Natasha engulfed me into a great hug that I wasn't expecting.

"Us girls gotta keep together you know," she said and I laughed back.

"Definitely, expect a phone call when I get back to Greece." I said.

"I'll be waiting."

Clint slapped me on the back with a smile.

"Selene, it's been a good one," Cap said shaking my hand. "Well..."

"I wouldn't say good but...it's been an experience," I laughed, looking at his kind eyes.  "But I'm glad to have met you, Cap."

"You too, Selene."

I made my way towards Banner who was gripping the bag that Natasha gave him tightly.

"Until next time," said Banner as I shook his hand with a smile.

"Hopefully it won't be too soon," I joked as he chuckled at the floor then walked over to Stark who was clad in a suit.

"Thanks for the car," I said to Stark as I approached him.

"It's no problem, as long as I get it back." He said and I smiled guiltily at him. "Which...I have a feeling I won't be."

"If I only I could take it back back to Greece with me." I laughed, wishing that it could sit at the bottom of the mountain for me to use as I please.

I picked up my leather jacket off the back seat and shrugged it on as I looked out at the team. I nodded my head one last time, got into the drivers seat and drove away. Leaving New York and all the pain behind me.

As the cool breeze tossed my hair, I gripped the steering wheel with one hand and leaned my other against the open window, propping my head up. My mind was in utter shambles. I was proud of myself, perhaps even just shocked, that I accepted to go through all that despite it not being in my best interests but I guess I could thank Coulson for that. The thing that was nagging me the most is what I've committed myself to. As much as I know I'll want to back out when the stakes get raised, I have a duty to protect the Earth now, not just Greece. The thought of that terrifies me, makes me want to jump off into the clouds of Mount Olympus. But I have to fight. It's the right thing to do. If I want to keep seeing my father, I have to.
