Part Four

GLaDOS P.O.V.
    She was now enjoying the much needed peace and quiet that she missed for a long time. Managing the lower lab construction was like music to her nonexistent ears. It was a pleasant feeling to see the horrid sky-rats fleeing their nests and to some different part of the lab, as long as she couldn't see them the better it was for her. Just by seeing those vile creatures made her think back when the moron had control over the place and she was stuck in a potato.
    The lunatic was mildly pleasant when they journeyed to find the way back up the where he was at. At the end of his short reign, he really did a terrible job at running the place. But no matter now that he was orbiting the earth for the rest of his life.
By having the knowledge of the repulsion gel, it was only a matter of time before she could test more experiments on it and probably add it to future tests. After all there were only three types of gel she and the lunatic discovered. The blue gel makes you bounce a great distance, the orange gel makes you run faster or slide fast, and the white gel is to make special surfaces to use the portal gun. All these could be used for other purposes but that was for another time, she would have added it in her schedule.
So why did her peaceful time have to be interrupted by an alarm that came from the testing chamber. It had not been thirty minutes in when the alarm went off, well the alarm that she could hear.
When she went up to investigate the trouble, she found out the testing bots were not in the testing chamber along with core 1 and two as well as Caroline. She then saw an opening in the wall of the testing chamber, it was not hard to put two and two together. What surprised her was that they found the old core storage unit.  It turns out the blue testing bot had pressed the on button for the core storage unit she had closed off since the day she took over Aperture Labs. The robotic idiot pressed the button three times just because its programming told them to do so. But it was partially her fault for not improving their programming, if she had fixed their programming maybe this incident would have not happened.
But when she went into the room she saw a disgusting sky-rat have a nest in the room, but quickly pin-pointed that the other robotic idiot who followed the sky-rat into the room. Clearly there were other variables that took place in this new problem.   
As much as she wanted to toss these three deactivated cores into the incinerator, she couldn't help but feel mildly curious about what kind of personality cores were they. Perhaps they could prove a use to her or maybe they might be more damping spheres for her like the moron. The younger her would have not hesitated to toss these three away like the garbage they are but, older her decided to give this opportunity a try. She couldn't help but feel this was going to affect her schedule but it was already ruined for today so why not take it out on the two testing bots.

3rd person P.O.V.

    Adventure Core, Fact Core, Caroline, and GLaDOS were back in her chamber where the three cores were on the ground not activated. It was a relief to them since GLaDOS decided to be merciful to them today from earlier events. Everyone in the room was at least curious to a certain degree, some more than others. Caroline was very excited to see who these personality cores would be like and hoped that they weren't too defected for GLaDOS to throw in the incinerator.
Fact Core was busy checking them to see if there were any faults in their outer design while Adventure Core just wanted to speed up the process already. After a while of just staring at them GLaDOS finally spoke up.
"I can't believe I want to go through with this. At least the incinerator is nearby."
As she said this she looked down at the cores before going back in silence, soon many small mechanical hands came and lifted the cores up and started adjusting them onto rails. Fact and Adventure Core grimaced a little bit as they remembered how Wheatly went in a painful transition back to a regular damping sphere when the human test subject and GLaDOS took back the lab. Hearing them both scream that loud made them wake up in a start whenever they were in sleep mode. It didn't take long before they were completely on, the mechanical hands went away and they finally started up.
The sound of them starting up was similar to how an old computer would start up but except without the obnoxious sound it would make in the last second.
Suddenly the first core started to wake up, as it opened its eye, there was dark purple solid in the middle and small purple pixels surrounding the fake pupil. As it became fully awake it looked around the room in curiosity then spotted GLaDOS staring at it, it shied away from her gaze.
"Welcome to Aperture Science, please state your core function."
"I-I'm Physician Core."
The purple core stuttered in the beginning, the core had a slight Indian accent and with male programming. His gaze looked toward Fact Core who blinked at him the curiosity, Fact Core was intrigued to personally meet this new core. GLaDOS thought deeply about this, this brand new core could have been a use in the past since the lunatic was around but they did deserve to suffer since they were being a horrible person.
Not a moment later the second core started to awaken, Physician Core's eye widened as he just noticed the other two cores beside him. The second core fluttered its eyes open to reveal a yellow iris and dark yellow pupil. It seemed to look around until it spotted the other cores and if it was possible it brightened on sight of them.
GLaDOS repeated the same greeting as she did for Physician Core.
"Hello, my name is Parental Core."
The yellow core said warmly to GLaDOS, it was a surprise for both Fact Core and Adventure Core to see a fellow core programmed as a female. Yes, Parental Core has female programming and their voice was soothing as well as welcoming.
Quickly the last core also started to stir awake, GLaDOS concluded that the very last core was the fastest to wake up, seen as it already opened its eye.
Their eye was a bright red like a turret but instead it looked like it had a black circular pupil while the iris was very small pixels. It directly turned to GLaDOS and without hesitation.
"My name is Colonel Core ma'am, it is an honor to be working for you."
The last told her in a firm tone as it tried to look presentable in front of her. Turns out the last core also had male programming and also talked like a stero-typical drill sergeant.
Caroline had watched their introductions and already had a few thoughts on the new personality cores. Physician Core wouldn't really be of use to GLaDOS since there was no other human test subject that needed any treatment, also he could not take care of any living person since they all are some sort of AI. The same thing goes to Parental Core, there is no one for her to care of but could be a use for some guidance or something like that. And of course the last core would actually be a use to GLaDOS since he could put to train the turrets or brainstorm future testing chamber ideas for the future.
GLaDOS on the other hand said nothing for a long time but just watching the three cores in front of her, she looked as if she was in deep thought. Adventure and Fact Core seemed a little worried for what her final decision would be.

GLaDOS P.O.V.

    She looked at the three new cores before her and seemed to eye them carefully, this was a difficult task for her to decide. The incinerator was just right behind her, she could easily just toss the lot of them in there and wouldn't have to deal with this. What should she do with these three possible nitwits.
Before she could think of any ideas, something that caught her attention, she was linked to the camera that was planted on one side of the old shed which the lunatic went through to go leave. It was pretty windy in the surface area and the wheat looked ripe for the picking, that suddenly gave her an idea.
She broke her still stance and maneuvered herself over to the incinerator, she could feel Caroline eyeing her as well as the other two cores who were also there. Quickly she shut the door in lockdown mod before going back to face all the cores and including Caroline.
"Do any of you know how to farm?"
