" Good... Morning!! " Mom said.

I got up to a sight of my mom cooking smoked beef and beautiful nature. The birds were chirping, the breeze was enjoying their time, dancing around. A perfect day, I must say. I didn't care too much about it. I was turning my brain trying to think of a way to solve my problem. How would I tell mom?

I ate my breakfast and sat down near the lake.

" Mom! Let's go for a hike! " I said. " Great weather! Gotta spend our time as best as we can while this perfect day lasts "

" Okay honey, that's a great idea, help me prepare please, I suggest we go for a picnic once we find a good spot, that way we can spend a lot of time in the wilderness " Mom said. I walked towards her and helped her. We prepared 9 pieces of sandwiches, 3 bottles of lemonade, and also a big pie.

" Dad! We're going hiking! Let's go! " I said.

In 5 minutes, we were good to go. We brought all the supplies we needed, climbing gear, food, raincoat, bug spray, and a lot more.

We started our hike up a rocky pathway, it wasn't very hard for us, we are very adventurous. After the rocky pathway, we walked in the middle of a pine forest. Tall, green trees surrounded us, the sunlight barely had contact with us. We could see squirrels, deers, raccoons, walking around, or climbing trees. It was a very merry view.

At lunchtime, we stopped near a river with clear and refreshing water. Mom, and I took out our meal. We started eating sandwiches. Each of us ate 3, it was truly delicious! You can taste the cheese melting, and the ham is still crispy. The sandwiches were followed with a few gulps of the lemonade. Last, we ate the luscious blueberry pie, brought from home. The meal was heavenly! Not only that, but we are also surrounded by nature, which makes it more pleasant.

After lunch, we continued hiking, this time going down instead of up. I'm pretty sure the ground is getting lower. We didn't mind. Walking down is a lot better than walking up, we don't have to fight gravity. It feels like I can just dash down and feel the breeze tickling my body. Didn't take us long before we caught sight of the dazzling, blue lagoon.

" Race ya to the lagoon! " Dad suddenly shouted.

I took a moment to process the words. And when my brain finished processing, I zoomed down the hill in blazing speed, put on my swimwear, and jumped into the freezing lake. Round Two of swimming. This time I ought to myself to NOT, not even have the thought of it. Not pull anyone or even play a joke on anyone.

While dad, and I swam, mom was sunbathing, trying to get tanned. Like what's summer without getting tanned? We raced around the blue lagoon. That's what the lagoon is called. Probably because the water's blue even though the bottom of it isn't.

The lagoon itself has a beautiful seafloor. Beautiful Corals of every color lie at the very bottom. The sand in the bottom is surprisingly soft, won't hurt your foot a single bit. The seaweed lies creating a soft and slippery feeling. It's as if you are standing on a smooth carpet with the fluffiest fur-ever.

We swam for a whole hour while mom prepared tea. It's very nice to drink tea after swimming in refreshing, icy water. We changed and rested for a little while admiring the gorgeous view of the pine forest. After that, we walked back towards our camp.

" Chloe, help me prepare dinner please, it's almost dark, Finn (my dad), you prepare the campfire okay? " Mom instructed. I gotta admit she's kinda bossy, but she bosses correctly and not too strict so we are fine with it.

" What should we have tonight? Fish, sausage, or sandwiches again? " I asked.

Everyone chose grilled sausages. I would choose that myself too. I took pieces of sausages from the ice box we brought and stabbed the skewers into the sausages. I also seasoned it with some butter for flavour. Then, I took 3 bottles of cold water and also 3 cups of pudding. ' The perfect dinner to end our trip ' I thought. I took it all and arranged it on the plastic table.

" Dinner's ready! " I shouted. It was already 6.00 p.m. Dad finished setting the campfire and we all circled around the gleaming fire. We gotta enjoy the moment while it lasts, right?

We all took the sausages and cooked it according to our own personal taste. After eating, we finished our meal with pudding. Sweet, creamy, chocolate pudding. After eating, dad took out his guitar and began to play a simple tune. Simple, but catchy and calming. Along the way, all of us began moving our heads left and right, enjoying the melody. Dad got up and changed the tune. He played a fun tune. We danced with the beat through the night.

At 9.00 we cleaned up and headed to bed.

" Good night... sweet dreams " I said, then I snored away.
