All Because of a Camping Trip

Once we were dismissed we all went outside and choose our destination.

" Maybe a fast food place? " Carol asked. I shook my head. Too unhealthy.

" A vegetarian place? " Gwen asked, she's a vegetarian herself. I shook my head again. Too healthy.

" I have an idea! " I exclaimed. " How about we go to the mall? We have the fast food option there, and we also have the vegetarian option, fair right? "

" Great idea! " Mom said. " You go with your car, and follow our car okay? "

Lila nodded. We went to our cars and drove off.

" Eum, hi Carol " I said. I felt awkward, real awkward.

" Hi Chloe, " Carol replied. A huge smile popped on her face.

Suddenly, I burst into tears. I was part ashamed, happy and embarrassed.

" Wait, what? Why are you crying? " Carol asked. She got closer and hugged me tight.

" It's just that I nearly killed you, I just feel so ashamed of myself. I am big enough to understand what jokes are proper and what jokes are just... ridiculous. I'm so sorry... My heart broke into a million pieces when I heard that you were um, dead. Just the thought of losing my one and only sister, I can't even imagine how awful life must be if that ever happened to me, I'm so, so, so, sorry, I feel like i'm dreaming, I don't even deserve you acting good to me, you should just hate me " I said while sobbing.

" Chloe, it's okay, even if you nearly killed me, I know it was a joke, I wouldn't take it so seriously, I know it's a horrible thing to do, but in the end everything turned out okay right? Listen, I also don't want to lose my sister, so let's just put this all behind and go on with life. What do you say? " Carol replied.

I nodded confidently. I wiped away my tears and hugged Carol.

" I love you Carol, and I'm glad you are my sister " I said.

" I love you too Chloe, and thanks, for being the best sister ever " Carol replied.

My cheeks turned bright pink. I feel so happy right now. Happy and blessed.
