Color Blind

99 7 5

I see orange enveloped in white

Reciting diatribes of violence

Hiding behind the Messiah

A tyrant the size of Goliath

I see yellow from the tape that remains

The movement of David diluted

By intruders, looters, the Judas

Deceitful people pursuing to ruin peaceful union

I see red, white, and blue but they aren't in tune

Some of us see stars but it's not a cartoon

Banners spangled as we sought for a truce

But we see-saw between what we're all gonna do

I see the hues you subdued, shades of gray strewn

It's not always black and white, so watch your tone

Speak upon nuance and needless sacrifice for the times

But there will never be a spectrum for the color blind
